This week I am joined with another friend and old roommate, Delia Feeney. Delia was my roommate for two years after she moved to West Virginia from Brooklyn, NY. Since she has moved to West Virginia, she has formed a core group of friends she now considers family and has learned to appreciate the small town vibes that West Virginia has to offer.
Last year before the pandemic, Delia started her own clothing business, Double Dee's, where she makes handmade bathing suits geared towards women with larger breast. She also creates other unique accessories with her own touch of style and uses materials she can find or make herself. Delia recently moved back to Brooklyn to continue to grow her brand and business. I hope you guys enjoy this episode and be sure to check out Double Dee's on social media and visit her website!

With mental health awareness month now over, I wanted to share something different from the regular episodes to encourage you to keep prioritizing your mental health beyond the month of May. In this episode, I share a blog I came across from a woman named Simone Yemm called The 5 Words That Are Giving Me Hope in Mental Health Recovery.
She shares five simple words that gave her hope as she is working on her own mental health issues and her words really resonated with me. While she is speaking about her experiences, her advice I believe can be applied to other mental health issues we all may go through. I hope you enjoy the episode and we are back next Monday with a new episode and guest. Stay tuned!
