Charles and Susie Spurgeon had a love story that lasted throughout their life. Susie played a very special role in the life and ministry of Charles Spurgeon. Though they did not have a perfect marriage, they had a very godly marriage. Susie was stricken with an illness that later in life prevented her from even attending church. They weathered criticism, trails, and difficultly together.

Susie Spurgeon created a book ministry to provide poor pastors good Christian books. After Charles' death, Susie planted a church late in life even with her illness. She was known for her support of Charles' ministry. Charles was devoted to his wife, and he was a great lover of his wife.
