GUEST: TOU THAO, former Minneapolis police officer

No one woke up on May 25, 2020 anticipating the country was about to change, that cities were soon to burn, and that the Marxist woke movement, including Black Lives Matter and Defund the Police, were going to take off. But that’s what happened when George Floyd, a drug-user with a long criminal history was arrested after passing a counterfeit $20 bill at a Minneapolis market.

With methamphetamine and a high level of fentanyl in his system, Floyd had been resisting arrest, leading to one of the four officers, Derek Chauvin, employing the department-approved Maximal Restraint Technique (MRT), where the suspect is handcuffed face down and the officer’s knee is placed on the upper back near the neck in order to subdue the suspect until emergency medical services (EMS) arrive.

Video of a white police officer with his knee holding down a prone black man for nine minutes crying out “I can’t breathe” and calling for his mother spread like wildfire across social media. When EMS finally arrived, Floyd was loaded in to the ambulance and taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The narrative was instantly cemented—police brutality and systemic racism.

According to the documentary, The Fall of Minneapolis, produced by Alpha News, the official autopsy showed that Floyd died of cardiac arrest, with the drugs in his system as a contributing factor, rather than solely from the restraint technique used by Chauvin. No matter—a perfect storm had been whipped up in order to make political gains.

Minneapolis burned with riots night after night. The 3rd police precinct was abandoned and torched by rioters. Riots spread to 140 cities across the country leading to the largest civil unrest damages in U.S. history.

One of the four Minneapolis police officers on scene that day was Tou Thao. Thao never touched Floyd but instead kept bystanders at bay. All four officers would be jailed and charged—Thao with “aiding and abetting” murder. Thao was sentenced to over five years in prison, serving three.

Now released, Tou Thao joins us to tell us about the George Floyd incident and how God providentially and graciously used the miscarriage of justice against Thao to bring him to saving faith in Christ.

Studies are showing what you are likely seeing with your own eyes—women, particularly younger women, are “radicalizing” in their worldview. In other words, moving away from a biblical worldview.

Who was prominent on the front lines against ICE as they arrested illegal immigrants in Minnesota? Women. Who was standing outside the courthouse cheering on Lindsay Clancy during the trial for murdering her three children? Women.

Of course these examples are anecdotal. But the data is not. A social media post showed the graph of a Gallup poll plotting the political ideology of young men and young women. The headline states: “Women have moved radically leftward, at a scale and speed with no modern precedent, while men have, on the whole, remained largely steady and unchanged. The partisan gap between young men and women almost doubled in the past 25 years.”

The radicalization of young women is not simply taking place in politics; it’s moving professing Christian women in evangelical churches to take moral positions at odds with Scripture.

In his recent column titled, “We Need to Talk about the Radicalization of Young Women,” David Mitzenmacher, chairman of Founders Ministries and pastor at Grace Baptist Church in Cape Coral Florida, writes: “Young Christian women are consistently more supportive of abortion, same-sex marriage, and broader LGBTQ+ acceptance than their male peers.”

What is driving this leftward shift? What can women do to fortify themselves against the internal and external pressures to conform to the world? What should pastors, parents, and husbands be doing?

David Mitzenmacher joins us this weekend to discuss this troubling development that seeks to destroy God’s wise and wonderful design for women.

GUEST: PASTOR JOE RIGNEY, author, Leadership and The Sin of Empathy

Have you ever wondered why so many feminists support biological boys who identify as girls being able to compete against and defeat biological girls in girls’ sporting events?

Or why is nary a peep uttered by those on the left against Somali Muslim immigrants in Minnesota who defrauded taxpayers of over $9 billion? But in the next second these same people are out on the streets screaming and interfering with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents who are tasked with finding and deporting illegal immigrants, many of whom having committed additional crimes while here?

Empathy means “the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.” It has some crossover with sympathy and compassion, which are biblical qualities. God is compassionate. Christ understands and sympathizes with our weaknesses and sufferings and believers are to be like Him.

Hebrews 4:15 confirms this: “For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.”

Colossians 3:12-13 extols that we show compassion: “as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.”

So while sympathy and compassion are biblical virtues, there is a corrupted form of empathy today which serves as a sacred virtue of the left that is blind to moral truth and negative consequences because the object of their empathy holds an idolized status of being oppressed.

So going back to the aforementioned examples, girls missing opportunities in sports or getting injured or defeated by biological boys is ignored for the greater good of helping the purportedly oppressed “trans community” feel accepted.

It’s more important to be welcoming to our Somali Muslim neighbors than to worry about billions in taxpayer fraud. And the illegal immigrants in the shadows among us need protection, never mind that they broke the law to enter and many have committed serious crimes, all the while taking advantage of our taxpayer funded social services like welfare, education, and health care.

Our guest this weekend, Joe Rigney, author of Leadership and The Sin of Empathy and associate pastor of Christ Church in Moscow, Idaho, will explain how untethered empathy goes far beyond the biblical call for compassion and instead is used to manipulate people into supporting leftist power and policies. Because how cold, bigoted, hateful, racist, and homophobic must you be to not share in their so-called empathy?

When you begin to see this emotional blackmail taking place in our society and the church, you will see how important it is for Christians and pastors to speak clearly and boldly with truth and grace.

On January 24, 2023, Lindsay Clancy, a former labor-and-delivery nurse in Massachusetts, sent her husband out for some errands, and while he was away, took their three children—Cora (5), Dawson (3), and Callan (8 months)—into the basement and one by one strangled them to death.

Fast forward to this year and the recent murder trial for Lindsay Clancy. Women in pink shirts amassed outside the courthouse day after day, not to demand justice for Clancy’s three children, but to cheer her on and urge acquital.

But why? The surface reason is that Lindsay was suffering from mental illness where she was not able to understand what she was doing. Postpartum depression and possibly antidepressants caused a “psychotic break” to occur. Thus, the “I am Lindsay” supporters outside the courthouse and around the country emphasized that this poor woman was a victim who should be acquitted rather than be found culpable for murder.The jury deliberated and finally submitted their verdict: Eleven of twelve voted to acquit Lindsay Clancy of murder while just one held firm that she should be held accountable. Because of a non-unanimous verdict, the case ended in a mistrial.

So what does the Lindsay Clancy case say about our justice system and the worldview of our society? How is the “second victim” narrative employed for women who murder their children or abort their unborn babies?

Missy Roepnack is the mother of nine children and has spent years doing sidewalk counseling at abortion clinics. Missy recently wrote a series of articles on the Lindsay Clancy case, one of which appears in the Sept-Oct 2026 issue of The Christian Worldview Journal. She joins us to discuss the worldview at play in this case that has drawn national attention.

It was a beautiful fall evening at Stone House Farm in Jordan, MN for our recent Speaker Series event featuring Travis Allen, pastor of Grace Church in Greeley, CO and former Managing Director of Grace to You and member of the U.S. Navy Seal teams.

135 attendees gathered at the farm for a time of fellowship and dinner on the lawn beside the stone farmhouse, followed by dessert and coffee. Then, as the sun made its downward arc over the rural landscape, we all gathered outside the North Barn for an interview with Travis about current events and issues of the faith. It was a blessed time.

We weren’t able to fit the entire interview with Travis into today’s program but you will hear most of it. So let’s get out to Stone House Farm for this interview with Travis Allen at our recent Speaker Series event.

Socialism has become mainstream in America. Political candidates representing the Democratic Socialists of America Party are winning elections across the country. Their website says this:

“Imagine taking a day off from work in a future without capitalism. You don’t really have bills anymore. You have no debt. You don’t need health insurance. You don’t pay a mortgage or have a landlord, because comfortable housing is a human right. Your retirement is publicly funded. Food, education, energy, medicine, and transportation aren’t for-profit businesses; they are common goods and utilities.

If we lived in a classless society and governed ourselves, we could freely build a world without war or poverty. Building this world is the guiding star of our movement. When we labor for our common good instead of private profit, we can all have a secure and dignified life, and use our time and talents how we wish.”

We, we, we. Just like the rebels of Babel in Genesis 11, building their city and tower in opposition to God.

GUEST: TRAVIS ALLEN, pastor, Grace Church (Greeley, CO)

In our country today there is no shortage of violent acts that shock the senses. We did a recent program on the man who falsely believed he was a women who opened fire at a Catholic school in Minneapolis, killing two young children.

On the heels of that was a young Ukrainian immigrant minding her own business on a train in North Carolina only to have the man sitting behind, 14 times previously arrested, suddenly stand up and stab her to death. The video shakes one to the core.

And then on Wednesday of this week, Charlie Kirk, founder and president of Turning Point USA, a conservative organization on high school and college campuses, and perhaps the most influential conservative leader in the country other than President Trump, was assassinated by a sniper as he spoke at an event at Utah Valley University. Charlie Kirk was married and the father of two young children. He was just 31 years old.

Kirk was known for his sharp intellect, determination, leadership, and articulate, persuasive and bold debate style. At his events on college campuses, he would answer questions from everyone, even those vehemently opposed to his views.

Charlie Kirk was also known for being a forthright Christian who boldly proclaimed the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The killing of Kirk has been a collective gut punch to those on the right. But to some on the left, his death has been disturbingly celebrated.

This reveals not just a divide in our country but a dark and wicked deception that has hardened the hearts of too many. In a country with freedom of religion and speech in our Constitution, no one should be assassinated for viewpoints. But to the modern left, to disagree with them is to be a danger in need of silencing.

Charlie Kirk has been silenced from speaking in this life but he has no doubt inspired a generation to stand up for their Christian and conservative beliefs.

Travis Allen, pastor of Grace Church in Greeley, CO, joins us to discuss the several aspects of the murder of Charlie Kirk.

G3 began as a theology conference in 2013 at Pray’s Mill Baptist Church near Atlanta. Pastor Josh Buice of the same church was the founder. Year by year, the conference grew into one of the largest and most influential annual events, with thousands attending and some of the most prominent leaders speaking, such as John MacArthur, Voddie Baucham, Steve Lawson, Paul Washer, Ken Ham, Joel Beeke, HB Charles, Tom Ascol, James White, and more.

G3 developed beyond a national conference into a ministry organization, with regional conferences, G3 Press publishing arm, G3 Plus subscription platform for written, audio, and video content, G3 Church Network of nearly 200 churches, and much more. In short, G3 was one of the most prominent theologically conservative organizations.

But then sin happened.

In 2025, it was discovered that founder and pastor Josh Buice was using anonymous social media accounts to criticize fellow believers, some of whom were speakers at his conference. Buice resigned and vice president and pastor Scott Aniol took over.

Just recently, it was revealed that Aniol and three other leaders from G3, who also serve as elders at Pray’s Mill Baptist Church, had sent anonymous dossiers to the elders at First Baptist Church in Lindale, TX, accusing their pastor, Tom Buck, a former G3 board member and contributor, of plagiarism in his sermons. Weeks later similar anonymous dossiers were sent to ministry leaders around the country.

While there were about 45 instances of Buck using unattributed material from commentaries in his sermons, the elders of his church and other ministry leaders who investigated the charges concluded that it was a lesser degree of plagiarism requiring correction rather than disqualification.

But then there was the issue of who was trying to ruin pastor Tom Buck? It soon was revealed that none other than top leadership at G3, which stood for “Gospel, Grace, and Glory” had transgressed in a most inglorious way, with anonymous accusations and even mail fraud. A confession was released and soon the entire organization of G3 dissolved.

Joining us this weekend to discuss the fall of G3 is David Morrill of Protestia, a “polemical Christian news and discernment outlet dedicated to reporting, analysis, and theological critique.” David and Protestia received one of the anonymous dossiers, did an investigation, and made public that it was G3 leadership behind it.

We will discuss several aspects of this incident, including plagiarism. Why? Not in self-righteousness or a spirit of condemnation but rather to fearfully reflect and learn, knowing our own potential for sin. For Scripture says, “let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall” (1 Corinthians 10:13).

GUEST: CARL TRUEMAN, author, The Desecration of Man

If you’re a Christian, you likely find yourself gobsmacked (“utterly astonished”) at the craziness (you see all around you in society, such as:

• How abortion, the killing of unborn babies, is celebrated
• How living together before marriage is promoted as necessary to ascertain compatibility
• How boys can purportedly become girls and vice versa and how hospitals and doctors are more than willing to remove private parts to “transition”
• How two men can “marry” and then choose a woman out of a catalog to be artificially inseminated by one of them to carry their baby
• How the proposed solution to crime is “defunding the police” and reducing consequences for criminals
• How those who illegally enter the country should be able to vote and receive taxpayer benefits

The worldview on these issues and many more may seem like lunacy to the Christian, but to the non-Christian or to the liberal professing Christian, they seem perfectly reasonable, even worthy of celebration.

Fundamentally, the divide we see and feel in our society is between one side that believes in God and adheres to the framework He established versus another side that rejects the biblical worldview and promotes what is right in their own eyes.

Frankly, this shouldn’t surprise us, as it’s been the story of mankind from the very beginning. What God establishes, man rejects and rebels. Satan falsely promised Eve that eating the forbidden fruit would lead to wisdom and liberation but the opposite occurred—shame, enslavement, and ultimately death.

Our guest this weekend is Carl Trueman. He is a professor of biblical and theological studies at Grove City College and the author of the book, The Desecration of Man: How the Rejection of God Degrades our Humanity, which is our new featured resource. GUEST: FRANK TUREK, mentor to Charlie Kirk and author of The War on Reality—Recovering Truth in a World that Celebrates Lies

It was almost one year ago—Wednesday, September 10, 2025—that Christian and conservative leader Charlie Kirk, just 31-years-old, walked into an outdoor amphitheater at Utah Valley University to hold a question-and-answer event with thousands of college students.

The crowd was buzzing with anticipation. Charlie would be taking any and all questions, typically inviting those who disagreed to come to the front of the line as he advocated for the biblical worldview and conservative values. Countless videos show him doing this all over the country—conversing and debating the prominent issues of our day: abortion, gender, marriage, sexuality, economics, and politics. Charlie was one of the most well-known and influential conservative in the world.

Just minutes into the event, a shot rang out from a rooftop sniper position, fatally striking Charlie in the neck. Mayhem ensued as he was pulled into a nearby vehicle and rushed to the hospital. Despite the doctors’ best efforts, Charlie Kirk died—assassinated by Tyler Robinson, a leftist who hated Charlie’s worldview.

Standing within 25 feet of Charlie when he was shot was well-known Christian apologist Frank Turek. Frank was one of Charlie’s mentors and had helped him learn how to give reasonable, biblical answers to the questions he fielded.

Frank Turek joins us this weekend on The Christian Worldview to share about that tragic day, why Charlie’s murder is a prime example of the “war on reality” gripping our country, and how Christians must “sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence” (1 Peter 3:15-16).
