A small group of biblical Christians known as the the Pilgrims are widely considered to be “the founders of America”.

Numbering only about 400-500 souls, they had fled religious persecution in England to settle in Holland. But after ten years there, they decided on another move across the Atlantic Ocean to an unknown land that would become the United States.

About 50 Pilgrims were on the first vessel called The Mayflower, arriving in modern-day Cape Cod in Massachusetts in November 1620. One year later in November 1621, after a brutal winter in which many of them died, they celebrated a bountiful harvest with local Indians who had helped them in what has become known as the first Thanksgiving.

The Pilgrims and their biblical beliefs which led directly to the principles of the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution 150 years have been mostly forgotten by the majority of our population. “Separation of church and state” is a sacrament of mainstream society today…but it wasn’t to the Pilgrims. They said they came to America “for the glory of God and the advancement of the Christian faith.”

Dr. Jerry Newcombe, producer of the documentary film, The Pilgrims, joins us this Thanksgiving weekend on The Christian Worldview to discuss the Pilgrims’ story and what they believed and lived by. For in them we have an example for how we can live in our pilgrimage in a contrary world.

The dictionary defines theology as the study of God and religious belief. It may sound intellectual and academic but in reality everyone has beliefs about God and religion. The real question is whether those beliefs accurately represent God based on the standard—His inspired Word.

Every few years, Ligonier Ministries conducts The State of Theology survey, as they put it, “to take America’s theological temperature, revealing what people actually believe—both outside and inside the church. Our goal is to diagnose prominent errors and to prescribe the cure: the clear teaching of sound doctrine.”The State of Theology survey contains 35 statements that over 3000 Americans from all walks of life answer.

Dr. Stephen Nichols, chief academic officer at Ligonier Ministries and president of Reformation Bible College, joins us to discuss some of the key findings of the survey with regard to the evangelical church and the general public. Because the real point of theology is not just to study God but to know, love, and worship Him!

It’s America’s largest and most well-known city. It’s the financial center of the country and even the world for free markets. Twenty-four years ago, the most prominent buildings in the city—the World Trade Center—crumbled to the ground after Islamists hijacked commercial airplanes and flew them into the buildings, causing nearly 3000 deaths.

So how to explain that New York City just elected a Muslim socialist to be its mayor?

Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani is not moderate. He is anti-Israel at his core. And he’s anti-American—he is a self-identifying member of the Democratic Socialists of America, which opposes traditional American values of limited government, individual liberties, and free markets. In short, Mamdani is the personification of the “Red-Green Alliance,” the intersectional partnership of Communists and Islamists with the common goal of toppling America and Christianity.

The left won almost everywhere in the first election since President Trump entered the White House this past January. Virginians voted for a Democrat super-majority in their state. Seattle elected a Democrat Socialist for mayor and Minneapolis nearly did as well.

In a recent program, we discussed the rise of Islam in Western Europe and how the line may have been crossed for an Islamic future. But is the same thing happening in America, in places like New York City, Dearborn, Michigan, Minneapolis, and in Texas, where a large Islamic development is being proposed near Dallas?

Alex Newman, Christian author and journalist at Liberty Sentinel Media, joins us this weekend on The Christian Worldview to discuss the rise of Islam in America and why it needs to be stopped. He will also discuss other events nationally and abroad, including the rise in political violence on the left and anti-Israel sentiment on the right.

There is no more important issue and pursuit than worshipping God. It’s more important than who will be our next president, more important than world peace, more important than your health, financial security, and whatever else we treasure.

Scripture makes the primacy of worship clear:  King David prayed, “Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O Lord, and You exalt Yourself as head over all” (1 Chronicles 29:11).

Paul wrote, “Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Cor 10:31).

King Solomon exhorted, “The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear [reverence, awe] God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person” (Ecclesiastes 12:13)

Psalms, the songbook of the Bible, closes this way: “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!” (Psalm 150:6)

God created man as a worshipful being. We can see this because everyone worships someone or something. If God isn’t worshipped, a false god will be substituted—person, pleasure, possession, position, popularity, power, to name just a few.

God, as Creator, Sustainer, Savior, and Sovereign over all, deserves our worship. Our peace, purpose, and pleasure in life is directly proportional to how rightly and authentically we worship the Creator.

Our guest this weekend is Scott Aniol, Executive VP and Editor-in-Chief G3 Ministries. G3, which stands for “Gospel—Grace—Glory”, is a Christian organization that aims to strengthen the local church through conferences, resources, online articles, podcasts, expository preaching workshops, biblical worship workshops, and local church-based curriculum for Sunday school and small groups.”

Scott Aniol will join us to discuss “The Primacy of Worship”. He explains in a five-part column series corresponding to each of the “five solas” of the Reformation that worship is even more important than salvation, for salvation is the entry point to proper worship of God.

This program aims to be a helpful for individual Christians and also the church, for worship includes but is far more encompassing than music alone.

For nearly 1500 years, Britain has been a Christian nation—Roman Catholic for centuries and then Protestant since the Reformation in the 16th century. In fact, the nation has an official Christian church—the Church of England.

Britain is known for some of the most impactful preachers, such as John Knox (Scotland), John Bunyan, Charles Spurgeon, William Booth (Salvation Army), and Martin Lloyd Jones. It would not be an overstatement to say that Britain was the seat of Protestant Christianity for several centuries.

So it is hard to understand how a nation known for its Christianity is so willing to throw it all away. How is that happening? Over the last 20 years or so, Britain has welcomed millions of Muslims into their land to the point that the most common birth name in England is Muhammad. Nine major cities, including London, have Islamic mayors. Muslims openly call for jihad and Sharia Law on the streets of England and Muslim gangs have raped English girls for years while the government covered it up for fear of creating “Islamophobia.”

Jamie Bambrick is a pastor and well-known YouTuber in Belfast, Northern Island, which is one of four nations that comprise the United Kingdom (England, Wales, and Scotland are the others). Jamie joins us to discuss the societal suicide that is taking place, particularly in England, and how Christians in America need to be aware and vigilant about what is taking place here. For example, New York City, the cultural and financial hub of our country, is set to elect a communist Muslim to be mayor. The same thing is taking place here in Minneapolis.

Jamie will also report on how other liberties are being restricted through arrests for social media posts and praying outside abortion clinics to a nation ID card called BritCard, which will allow government to track and control your life and movement.

Earlier this month, President Trump and his administration brokered a ceasefire in the two-year-old war between Israel and Hamas that has taken place in Gaza, the small Palestinian territory in southwest Israel.

After Hamas’ savage attack into Israel two years ago where they killed 1200 and took 250 hostages back to Gaza, Israel has systematically targeted entrenched Hamas fighters in Gaza, resulting in a near takeover and destruction of Gaza.

So what makes this ceasefire significant? It’s what it doesn’t do and what it could lead to. While greatly diminished, Hamas lives on in Gaza, certain to rebuild, just as Iran is doing after President Trump called Israel off that war. In other words, while Israel has flexed powerful muscles across the Middle East, their enemies live on to fight another day. Meanwhile, President Trump is eager to have the Abraham Accords signed by Israel and longtime Arab enemies throughout he Middle East. Plus, there is a strong international push for a Palestinian state in Israel.

Soeren Kern, geopolitical analyst and managing editor of The Christian Worldview Journal, joins us to discuss the ceasefire and how it may be setting the stage for God’s miraculous rescue in the future.

The Bible says that in the time of the judges in Israel, “every man did what was right in his own eyes” (Judges 17:6). That is another way of saying the people were flagrantly breaking God’s laws and rationalizing their sin. Scripture is clear that all men and women are sinners by nature and by choice.

For example, Romans 3 says:“for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin; as it is written, “There is none righteous, not even one; There is none who understands, There is none who seeks for God; All have turned aside, together they have become useless; There is none who does good, There is not even one” (Romans 3:9-12).

Considering all the hate, murder, lying, lusting, stealing, coveting, envying, immorality, blasphemy, oppression, and much more that marks our world, it may seem surprising that Americans don’t see themselves as sinners but as basically good, and thus, do what is right in their own eyes.

In a recent survey released by George Barna, Director of Research at the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University, “only half of all American adults (52%) believe that everyone has sinned…and even among theologically-defined born-again Christians, one in four denies personal guilt of sin.” What’s more, “among self-identified Christians, 72% believe that people are “basically good at heart.”

This is troubling and egregious error, especially by those who profess to be part of the church. Today on the program, George Barna joins us to discuss the changing view of sin by Americans and Christians and what has led to it. We will also discuss why conviction over one’s sin is so important because it shows us our need for the only remedy.

A “moral equivalency” is argumentation that attempts to make two opposing sides equal, when in reality one side is far more immoral than the other.

Example: Israel and Hamas. The Islamist group Hamas, based in the Palestinian territory of Gaza, barbarically slaughters 1400 civilians in the October 7 raid on Israel and immediately those who side with Palestinians make the moral equivalency that Israel is no better with their racist, oppressive, colonialist, genocidal, apartheid state.

A better moral equivalency to Hamas murdering non-combatants, including children, would be the American zealots who advocate for the “right” to kill pre-born children at any time and for any reason during pregnancy. In fact, the latter group has been much more effective from a death toll standpoint than the former. And the people of Ohio just voted for abortion to be a “right” in their state constitution.

In last week’s program, Chris Katulka of Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry clarified the disinformation (i.e. lies) that so many believe and espouse about Israel and the Jews, such as, they are occupying Palestinian land. Chris detailed the ancient history of Israel with God establishing for them a far larger area of land than their currently inhabit and how in 1948 they were unexpectedly granted a portion of their historic homeland to settle.

This week in part two of the interview, Chris will explain what is behind the widespread anti-semitism in the world, how Christians should obey God’s command to bless the descendants of Abraham and Sarah (the Jews) despite their current God- and Christ-rejection, and what these events mean for Biblical prophecy.

Guest: Mark Spence, Evangelist and Senior VP, Living Waters

While he was imprisoned in Rome and shortly before being martyred, the apostle Paul, in some of his final words to his understudy pastor Timothy, exhorted him to “be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry” (2 Timothy 4:5).

After Christ rose rose from the grave and ascended to heaven, His followers couldn’t stop speaking the good news and saving message that “there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

Evangelism, explaining the good news of the gospel to others, is more than a command for the Christian—it should be a response of gratitude to God for personal salvation and an act of love toward others who need salvation more than anything. Think about this—Christians have the great privilege of being used by God as He redeems souls from destruction to glory!

But opening up our mouths with the gospel has its difficulties. We’re not quite sure how to transition a conversation from the temporal to the eternal. We’re concerned how unbelievers—or our family members—will respond. Or, we conclude that “evangelism is for those with the gift.”

Mark Spence is an evangelist with the ministry Living Waters, which “seeks to train the members of Christ’s Body in the principles of biblical evangelism and to provide them with practical tools to proclaim the gospel.” This past week, the Living Water team of Ray Comfort, Emeal Zwayne, Mark Spence and others were invited by Turning Point USA to do an open-air Q and A and gospel presentation on the California State Fullerton campus.

We weren’t planning to spend a third straight week discussing Charlie Kirk and the issues surrounding his assassination, but after watching his memorial service this past Sunday, it became clear that there is more to consider.

The memorial service was something I’ve never seen. From the scale of the event (nearly 200,000 in attendance at two adjoining stadiums and an estimated viewing audience of 100M) to the notable attendees (President Trump and most of his cabinet) to above all, the proclamation of the gospel over and over again by many of the speakers.

The service was truly remarkable and worthy of our rejoicing.

TPUSA, the organization Charlie Kirk founded and led, has the video of the entire service on their YouTube page and I recommend you watch it. The first three-and-half-hours was a music concert as attendees filed in. The final four-and-a-half hours featured speaker after speaker.

The climactic message was not the final one given by President Trump but rather the penultimate by Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika. Considering the unimaginable grief of having her husband shot and killed in public 11 days earlier, considering the worldwide magnitude of the event, the content of her message and the manner in which she delivered it was one of the most impactful speeches I have ever seen. We’ll play some of her message in the final segment today.

Before we get to that, we’ll discuss the remarkable nature of this event and how God has truly worked something good and great through the assassination of Charlie Kirk. We’ll also discuss how transformative movements like this need secure boundaries lest they compromise the Word and misrepresent God.
