The Book of Proverbs was written to be profitable to all readers but is particularly directed to young men. One of the prominent exhortations and warnings for sons in Proverbs is on the issue of moral purity. Listen to Proverbs 5:18-23:

Let your fountain be blessed,
And rejoice in the wife of your youth.

As a loving hind and a graceful doe,
Let her breasts satisfy you at all times;
Be exhilarated always with her love.

For why should you, my son, be exhilarated with an adulteress
And embrace the bosom of a foreigner?

For the ways of a man are before the eyes of the Lord,
And He watches all his paths.

His own iniquities will capture the wicked,
And he will be held with the cords of his sin.

He will die for lack of instruction,
And in the greatness of his folly he will go astray.

God wonderfully designed us with the ability to procreate and to enjoy the one-flesh dynamic of sexual intimacy within the one-man one-woman marriage covenant, all to His glory. But what God beautifully designed is what the devil, the world, and our flesh relentlessly corrupts. God says, “rejoice in the wife of your youth.” Satan says, “Do whatever you want with whomever you want.”

And the destruction that results from lust and pornography and fornication and adultery and homosexuality and every other kind of sexual sin are everywhere—bondage to sin, broken marriages, sexually transmitted diseases, and alienation from God. Because of the pull of sexual desire and the ubiquity of sexual sin, it’s common to conclude that God’s call for sexual purity—mentally and physically—is an impossible standard.

The Apostle Peter was inspired by God to write: “Be of sober spirit, be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in the faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished among your brethren who are in the world” (1 Peter 5:8-9).

The devil is the believer’s great adversary and he has a singular mission—to devour the Christian by tempting us to sin against God. Satan uses the fallen world and our sinful flesh to great effect. One of his favored means of destruction is corrupting God’s gift and design of sex for one-man one-woman marriage into a litany of perversions: fornication, adultery, lust, pornography, homosexuality, and more.

Consistent victory in this never-ending war is not simply a matter of having an accountability partner or putting a filter on your device. No, this calls for transformation of the heart and comprehensive preparation and plans of action, from being born again to pursuing sanctification to employing the supernatural resources God provides.

GUEST: JUSTIN PETERS, Evangelist and Speaker on the Word of Faith Movement

In just a short time in office, President Trump has made many right policy decisions that align with the Bible’s call for government and leaders to promote what is good and punish evil (Romans 13), such as ending governmental imposition of the sin of partiality with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) or the depraved transgender lie, along with a host of other policies that improve fiscal responsibility and national sovereignty over globalism.

Christians can cheer that a U-turn has been made away from godless Marxism. But the President’s choice of false teacher Paula White to head the White House Faith Office is another story.

Paula White is one of the prominent leaders in the Word of Faith movement, also known as the health, wealth, and prosperity gospel. This is a heretical movement that misrepresents God and His Word and leads millions of people away from the one and only saving gospel of Jesus Christ.

Justin Peters leads a ministry that has particular focus on exposing the false teaching and false teachers of the Word of Faith movement. His column in the soon-to-be-delivered March issue of The Christian Worldview Journal focuses on Trump’s pick of Paula White. He joins us this weekend on the radio program.

In the final segment of the program, Twila Brase of Citizens Council for Health Freedom, will inform us about the government’s push for a national ID card called “Real ID” that she is urging listeners to avoid and contact their legislators about.

The church, the body of true believers in Jesus Christ from every tribe and tongue, is called “the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth” (1 Tim. 3:15).

God began the church 50 days after the Passover on which Jesus was crucified, by sending His Holy Spirit to indwell and empower believers to do God’s will.

Ever since, despite relentless attempts to destroy or corrupt it, the church has unstoppably marched on as a witness to the saving and sanctifying power of God through His Son, His Spirit and His Word.

There is no category for a Christian to not be part of a local church. The example of first century believers was that their lives were centered around the church, as they gathered each week to worship God, fellowship with one another, pray, remember the Lord’s death and resurrection, and hear the preaching of God’s Word.

In short, the church is a top priority for God and needs to be for believers as well.

This week, pastor Ace Davis of Faith Bible Church (White Bear Lake, MN) will join us to discuss various aspects of the church in light of the session he will be teaching in June at The Overcomer Course for Young Adults titled “Engaging God’s Design in the Local Church.”

In perhaps the most important revelation in decades about the U.S. government, it has been uncovered that billions, even trillions, of dollars have been spent by federal agencies and departments on what can only be described as wasteful and immoral causes.

Just a few examples:

• $373 million in DEI grants from the Department of Education
• $3+ million for “being LGBTQ in the Caribbean” through USAID
• $450,000 to promote the expansion of atheism in Nepal through the State Department

There are scores more expenditures like these that the recently-created DOGE, Department of Government Efficiency, led by Elon Musk, is finding through its audits of the federal government.

Even more disturbing than the sheer excess and wasteful spending—especially considering our nation has a crushing $36T of debt—is the fact that your tax dollars are being used by the godless within government to fund perverse causes and enrich fellow leftists at home and abroad.

In other words, our once “Christian nation” is the greatest exporter in the world of what dishonors God.

Two guests will join us this weekend on The Christian Worldview to discuss this staggering waste and abuse of taxpayer money. First, Robert Knight, columnist for the Washington Times, will provide insight on the extent of this scandal and then Jerry Newcombe, Executive Director of Providence Forum, will explain how our government has abandoned the founders’ intent and example, particularly with George Washington, our first president and the subject of a documentary we will discuss.

GUEST: NATASHA CRAIN, author, When Culture Hates You

In speaking to His disciples, Jesus used strong language to describe the reaction the unbelieving world would have to His followers:

“If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you” (John 15:19).

Not dislikes you or misunderstands you or is confused by you but “hates you”.

Why does the world hate believers? Jesus answers that question: “For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light lest his deeds be exposed” (John 3:20). In other words, the Light of Christ is in every true believer and a sanctified life convicts unbelievers of their sin and their alienation from God.

Even though the political winds have changed recently in this country, the spiritual winds will always be in the face of Christians. So how can believers obey their call to be salt and light—a preservative to what honors God and a light to the way of salvation? How do we avoid passivity (i.e. removing ourselves from engagement in society) but rather faithfully be an ambassador for Christ?

Our guest this weekend is Natasha Crain, the author of a new book and our new featured resource titled, When Culture Hates You: Persevering for the Common Good as Christians in a Hostile Public Square. On Tuesday, February 4, 2025, President Trump, in a joint press conference at the White House with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, made a stunning statement: “The U.S. will take over the Gaza Strip…we’ll own it.”

Not only did he say the U.S. will takeover Gaza but that the Palestinians there would be relocated, the U.S. would clean up the destruction from the Israel-Hamas war that has turned Gaza into rubble, develop the area into a kind of Mediterranean Riviera, and bring peace and prosperity to the Middle East.

This is truly the most audacious foreign policy plan by the U.S. in decades. We’re talking about an area in the historic nation of Israel, the one that God almighty promised Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob thousands of years ago, the one that is the epicenter of God’s own plans for the end times.

Will the U.S. really “own” a portion of Israel? Or is this just a leveraging negotiating tactic on Trump’s part? We’ll discuss more in the opening segment this weekend.

Considering that several of them and/or their companies opposed or suppressed Trump and his supporters in the past, why were they there, sitting amongst Trump’s family members no less? And how should we interpret that all of them run tech companies, pushing new frontiers of artificial intelligence (AI), data collection, even transhumanism?

Following the recent death of Jimmy Carter, the 39th president of the United States who served from 1977-1981, the headlines have been singing in unison:

Setting aside the widespread perception that Carter’s one-term presidency was feckless—stagnant economy, fuel shortages, unresolved hostage ordeal with Iran—the paradox with Carter is that he professed to be a born-again Christian despite the fact that he was a proponent of abortion and homosexual “marriage”.

How can a professed follower of God advocate for things so contrary to the Word of God? And why is he so lauded when other professing born again Christians are loathed?
