People love talking about mental health until medication becomes part of the conversation. Suddenly, antidepressants and any psychiatric medication are treated as something scary, shameful, or life-changing in the worst way possible. A recap about the last couple of months led me to talk about the stigma around mental medication, the myths people still believe, the fear of “losing yourself” under a treatment. It is simply an honest conversation about survival, healing, and why asking for professional help should not be treated like something weak.
