Unblocking ourselves is really about listening. It is about listening and sharing. At the same time I am thinking about this idea of "the muse." There is something really special that happens when we write in writing community, when we are able to bounce off our ideas off others who give us things to think about. When we are feeling blocked or stuck or lost it might serve our work to just bounce our ideas off of other artists. Communal sharing helps with unlocking the muse... some writers believe that the writing can only happen in solitude, but there is something to be gained from just sharing where we might be stuck and seeing how those we respect can help us find our way out. How do we unblock and honor the muse? This is what I am reflecting on today.
Writing prompts/meditation:
My muses are... who is your muse? What does muse mean to you?
When I listen to my muse I...
In honor of my muse I will create...
When I come to the page I will greet my muse daily by offering them...
Someone i can call on to bounce idea off...
Who can i call that I trust with my art...
My intention for today...
MY INTENTION for today is to enjoy this sunset and allow it to enter me and give me what I need.
