Hey everyone, apologies for the exaggerated reverb you might hear on this recording, but the house is completely empty and it's a natural effect, so the sound just echoes everywhere in a pretty wild way.
I wanted to share something that really struck me today. A new song by Hayley Williams came on randomly in my YouTube playlist and immediately caught my attention. What I found most curious was that the vocals are noticeably pitched, a technique I used to experiment with myself many years ago back in the Steemit days, when I was exploring all the music production possibilities I had at my disposal.
It's funny how artists, no matter their level of fame, are always on a constant quest, experimenting with new sounds and ideas. This small detail in Hayley's song really made me think. The truth is, I always try to be in a state of constant growth and artistic evolution, but there are times when, as happens to many of us, I feel I lose a bit of that creative spark that I always want to have and that I fight to recover every day.
Inspired by that, almost on impulse, I started practicing this same song on the guitar. To adjust it to my vocal range, I'm playing it three half-steps down and without a capo. This was the final result: I recorded harmony vocals to give it more body (all done in BandLab), and I also added a piano arpeggiator in the choruses to give it that special atmosphere I felt it needed.
A huge thank you to the communities that always offer support, especially @3speak and @musiczone, and to everyone else who makes it possible to share these creations. Also to the @lacolmena family! I hope you like this little experiment, full of nostalgia and new ideas.

A few days ago, I heard a Foo Fighters song for the very first time—and it blew my mind. It was one of those moments where, as soon as the first riff hits, you just know something inside you is about to move. I immediately thought: “I have to do my own version!” But of course, it couldn’t be a regular version. It had to be a cuatrera, dissonant, weird reinterpretation… totally in my style, with all the chaos, raw energy, and that unexpected twist I love sharing with you all.
I love taking these classics and flipping them like I’m watching them from another universe—more visceral, more raw, more free. Foo Fighters has that powerful vibe, and they gave me the perfect excuse to go wild with a crazy performance full of soul and freedom.
Last week, in all my excitement, I messed up and posted it in the wrong place—haha. One of those things that happens when you’re flying high on inspiration. But this time I’m doing it right, with the proper intention, fully focused, and ready to have an awesome time with all of you.
Thank you always for being here, for embracing these strange versions with so much love, for laughing with me (and sometimes at me 😅), and for following this musical journey with no map—but full of heart, grit, and madness.
The full video is coming soon, and I really hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. Long live rock! And may we never be without a wild version to shake things up and set the soul on fire!
See you on the next sonic madness 🖤🎸🔥

Only Happy When It Rains" 🎶.

I feel very fortunate to have been able to participate in the recent Hive Open Mic 265, with the title "Through The Rain" 🌧️, which reminded me of one of my favorite songs by the iconic band Garbage, "Only Happy When It Rains" 🎶. This song, released in 1995, became an anthem for those who feel more alive on rainy and melancholic days ☁️. My version of this classic, which I've had the pleasure of performing on several occasions, is a tribute to the energy and emotion that Garbage conveys through their music 🎵.
The lyrics of "Only Happy When It Rains" speak of the irony of feeling happier in the saddest and darkest moments 🌑. The voice of Shirley Manson, the charismatic lead vocalist of the band, rises above a heavy and distorted rhythm, creating an atmosphere that is both somber and liberating 🌟. My cover of this song aims to capture that essence, with a focus on the intensity and passion that the band conveys in their original version 💥.
🤖 Filtering through the layer of creativity, I hope you enjoy my interpretation 🎤. I'd like to thank @3speak for their update, which works like a charm 💎. The Hive Music Festival, with its focus on creativity and artistic expression, is the perfect place to share my vision of "Only Happy When It Rains" 🌈. The title "Through The Rain" inspired me to reflect on how music can be a refuge and an escape for those who feel overwhelmed by the rain of life 🌊. My cover is a tribute to the band that inspired me to find beauty in darkness, and to the community of artists and musicians who gather at the Hive Music Festival to celebrate creativity and expression 🎉.

Yesterday, I spent quite a while changing my wallpaper and tweaking my computer’s appearance. I enjoy playing with visual details, giving my digital space some personality, and this time, I ended up inspired by an artist’s image depicting the characters from Dune.
I've always been fascinated by the Dune universe, though I haven’t had the time to read the books yet. A friend of mine is currently going through them, and every time he tells me about the story, my curiosity grows. Frank Herbert created a dense and complex world, filled with politics, philosophy, and ecology—something few science fiction books have achieved. Dune’s influence extends far beyond literature, shaping cinema, video games, and even music.
Visually, Dune is incredibly powerful. From the vast dunes of Arrakis to the intricate design of the stillsuits, every element has a purpose and a distinct aesthetic. That’s why, when I saw that artwork with the characters, it immediately captivated me. The sandy tones, the imposing silhouettes, and that mystical aura surrounding the story… I just had to make it my wallpaper.
By the way, what do you think of the song? Lately, I’ve been looking for more music to inspire me while I work or lose myself in these sci-fi worlds. Maybe something that captures that epic and atmospheric spirit, like what Hans Zimmer did for the Dune movie soundtrack. Any recommendations?
