The Chief hypocrite returns to Al Medina with a third of the army before the encounter at Uhud.

Abu Sufiyaan (ra) leaves the Battle of Uhud and intends to march towards Al Medina to exterminate the rest of the Sahaba, however he is stopped by Safwaan ibn Umayyah ibn Khalaf (ra).

'Had they marched to Al Medina they would have perished with a shower of stones' (Ibn Ishaq).

Amr (ra) later on says….

I was present at Uhud and escaped… (Baihaqi).

The Battle of The Trench

On arrival The Quraysh find a ditch which cannot be breached.

After a month or so of intrigue and attempts a violent wind was sent by Allah SWT which caused havoc.

Amr (ra) visits his friend Musaylimah, Amr (ra) recites Surah Asr and Musaylimah recites his own revelation, Ya Wabbir!

The Messenger ﷺ explains the meaning of Surah Asr to The Chief Reciter, Obay ibn Kaab (ra).

Hisham (ra) returns to Makka after hearing false rumours that the Quraysh embraced the faith, instead he is kept under house arrest for 9 years until The Battle of The Trench.

After The Blessed Hijra

Amr & Khalid (raa) fathers depart the world in a state of unbelief, (Ibn Kathir).

The first main encounter was at Badr where the polytheists lost.

A year later the fateful Battle of Uhud took place, the belivers took safety on Mt Uhud.

Jaffar (ra) addresses Amr (ra) & An-Najaashee, saying, that we are not runaways nor criminals, but we left the creed of Shaytaan.. (Abo Na'aym).

The next day Amr (ra) fails to woo the muslims back to Makkah in the court of An-Najaashe (Ahmad).

The gifts were returned to the 2 men of the Quraysh, Amr (ra) being one of them.

An-Najasshe appeals to Jaffar (ra) 'Recite for us more of the Glorious words...' (Abu Nu'aym).

Migration to Abyssinia

'The land of Abyssinia has a king who does not oppress anyone in his kingdom... '(Ibn Ishaq).

During the 5th Year of Prophethood, 12 men & 4 women made the first Hijra to Abyssinia.

The second Hijra to Abyysinia took place a year later, where 102 Sahaba migrated 19 of whom were women.

The emergency council of the Quraysh led them to send Amr (ra) & Abdullah ibnAbee Rabee to return the 'renegades.'

Jaffar (ra) addresses An-Najaashee (rah), quoting the opening verses of Surah Mariam.

An-Najaashee (rah) grants the Sahaba safety.

Uqba places the entrails of a she-camel upon The Messenger ﷺ who is in sujood near the Kaba... The Messenger ﷺ after completing the prayer invokes 'O Allah SWT deal with the Quraysh '(Bukhari).

Abul Bakhtaree hears about this and takes matters in his own hands and gives Abo Jahl a blow to the head (Tabarani).

All 7 Quraysh chiefs were killed during The Battle of Badr (Ahmad).

Amr (ra) relates, I had never seen the Quraysh attempt to assassinate The Messenger ﷺ except on one occasion.. Uqbah attacks The Messenger ﷺ who is in Salah, there was an uproar and people thought The Messenger ﷺ had been killed.

Once they beat up The Messenger ﷺ till he went blank, Abu bakr (ra) arrives and quotes Surah 40 v28 (Haakim).

Thereafter The Messenger ﷺ gains consciousness and continues his Saalah!

The Sobriquet, Abu Abdullah & Abu Muhammed (ra).

Amr ibn Al Aas (ra) states, I remember the night Umar ibn al-Khattab (ra) was born (Al Isaabah).

Amr passed away 20 years (43 AH) after Umar (raa 23AH) at the age of 99 (Al Isaabah).

Amr (ra) was 

3 years older than The Messenger ﷺ

5 years older than Abu Bakr (ra)

16 years older than Umar (ra)

9 years older than Uthmaan (ra)

33 years older than Alee (ra).

Amr (ra) states, I memorised one thousand similtudes from The Messenger ﷺ (Ahmad).

The judges were 4 in number, Abu Bakr, Umar, Ibn Masood & Abu Musa Al Ashari (raa)

The shrewd were 4 in number, Moawiah, Amr ibn Al Aas, Mugheerah & Ziyaad (raa).

Another report adds Alee & Qays (raa) (Ibn Kathir).

Amr's (ra) lifetime during the Makkan Phase.

'I was initially stubbornly opposed to Islam.

I was present at Badr and escaped, present at Uhud and escaped, finally I was present at Khandaq and escaped' (Baihaqi).

Amr (ra) witnessed the worst treatmment The Messenger ﷺ received.

What deeds can be passed on  to the deceased Muslims ?

The Hanafee verdict, virtuous deeds can be passed on including Salah, Fasting, Quran recitation, Zhikir, Sadaqa, Hajj, Umrah...

The Messenger ﷺ sacrificed two rams, one for himself and the other for his Ummah (Bukhari).

Alee (ra) 'A person passes by a graveyard, recites Surah Ikhlas 11 times and passes this onto the deceased, thus the deceased receive the rewards (Daraqutni).

JIbreel (as) presents these deeds to the deceased on a refulgent tray saying...

'Dweller of the grave, Your relatives have sent a gift, accept it with joy.'

The receiver becomes happy but the forgotten deceased are grieved on their deprivation (Tabarani).

The deceased in the graves are like the drowning one, eagerly awaiting for priceless supplications... (Baihaqi).

'The muslims enter their graves with sin, yet they come forth without such sin, they are forgiven because the Believers supplicated for their forgiveness' (Tabarani).

If charity passes through 70,000 hands its reward for the last person would be equal to that of the first person giving in charity (Tabarani).

The Month of Rajab- Reminders

The Isra of The Messenger ﷺ took place on the 27th of Rajab (Ibn Rajab Lataa'If).

'We are enough for you against those who ridicule you' Surah 15 v95

The Messenger ﷺ points out to Jibreel (as) the chiefs who cause immense grief to Islam, Jibreel (as) merely points at them.. later these chiefs met a miserable end (Tabarani).

These same wretches requested the Splitting of The Moon (Abu Nu'aym).

Al Aas asks, will Allah SWT bring this bone back to life after it has disintegrated?

Surah Yaseen v77-83 is revealed. (Haakim)

The Blacksmith Khabab (ra), The debt owed by Al Aas and Surah Mariam v77-80.

Khabab (ra) states, during slavery I was so poor there was a time I did not even have a decent rag to put on me and see The Messenger ﷺ (Abo Nuaym).
