Amr (ra) Appointed as Commander.

'What a blessing, Pure wealth for a Pure man' (Ahmad).

There is no harm in wealth for those who have Taqwa.

However, good health is better than wealth for he who has Taqwa (Ibn Majah).

The world is green and sweet.. Whoever fears Allah SWT and does pure deeds therein will prosper, otherwise he is like a person who eats excessively but is never satisfied (Tabarani).

The Campaign of Dhaatus Salaasil, 8AH

This took place just after the Battle of Mu'ta.

Amr (ra) sends a letter seeking reinforcements, Abu Bakr, Umar, Abu Ubayda (raa) and others are sent.

The Origins of Shirik

Al Laat & Al Uzza are demolished

After The Ascension, Surah Najm verse 19 states... 'Have you seen Laat & Uzza ?'

And So History Rhymes

Al Laat was a man who mixed Saweeq for the pilgrims (Bukhari).

In the days of Jahiliya, he died and people remained next to his grave worhsipping him (Ibn Jarir).

Mugheerah (ra) makes Khalid (ra) laugh whilst demolishing Al Laat (Ibn Hisham).

A Masjid was built in the place of the idol (Ibn Kathir)

Al Uzza- The name is derived from the name Al Azeez

Uzza was a tree on which the idolaters placed a monument and curtains in the area between Makkah and Ta'if (Ibn Jarir).

Khalid (ra) is sent to demloish Uzza, returns and is sent back to finish the job.

Khalid (ra) finds a naked women whose hair was unkempt and was throwing sand over her head, she was killed.

That was Al Uzza!

Every Idol has a female Jinn with it (Ahmad).

Mannat was destroyed by Sa'aad ibn Zayd (ra).

The Origins of Shirik

Hafiz Dhahabi (rah) on Amr (ra), He is amongst the most exalted men of the Quraysh, astute, resolute... an excellent insight into The Art of War. He was amongst the most illustrious of The Kings of The Arabs and one of the distinguished Muhajiroon (Siyar).

Jibreel (ra) informs The Messenger that An-Najashee, As-Hama ibn Abjar (rah) has departed the world and the funeral prayer is offered.

The Destruction of The Idol Suwaa

'.....Wadd, Suwaa, Yaghooth, Yaooq nor Nasr,' Surah 71 v23.

These 5 idols were named after pious men from the Nation of Lut (as). After they died, shaytaan inspired people to erect statues in honour of them... These statues were worshipped by later generations (Ibn Kathir).

Ibn Taymiah (rah), All Shirk originates from either the people of Nuh (as) or the people of Ibrahim (as).

The Nation of Nuh (as) worshipped idols and exalt saints.

The Nation of Ibrahim (as) worshipped celestial bodies and stars (At-Tawassuk Al Waseelah).

The Messengers were 315 in number (Tabarani).

After the conclusion of The Treaty of Hudaybiah, Surah Victory is revealed and recited to Umar (ra).

Verily the evil members of my nation are those who disrespect my companions (Ibn Adee).

Whoever insults my companions then may Allah SWT curse them (Ahmad).

The Glorious Intercession is not for those who diminished the rank of my companions (Daylamee).

O Allah SWT, send Salah upon Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra) for he loves You SWT and loves Your Messenger ﷺ (Siyar).

Amr (ra) is away in Bahrain and The Messenger ﷺ misses him (Tabarani).

The Victory, most say, refers to The Treaty of Hudaybiah, view Surah 57 v10.

Abdur Rehman ibn Auf, Khalid (raa) and their dispute (Tabarani).

When the Treaty of Hudaybiyah was concluded, The Messenger ﷺ said, in the near future people will appear whose deeds will make your deeds look mean and trifling... (Abo Nuaym).

Do not revile my companions for the state of any of them for a brief period with Me ﷺ is far better than all the deeds any of you does in his lifetime (Ibn Majah).

Do not cure the Companions for one of them to stand for an hour is better than the deeds done by one of you over his lifetime (Ibn Abee Aasim).

Honour my companions for indeed they are the best of you (Nasaaee).

I recommend to you my companions (Tirmidhi).

My companions are the trustees for my Ummah (Muslim).

When in a state of fear, take refuge with Allah SWT & His Messenger in the masjid, just like Amr and Saalim (raa) (Ahmad).

The people submitted whilst Amr (ra) believed (Tirmidhi).

Amr (ra) is worth 2 believers (Ahmad).

The huge difference between the Early & Late companions, Surah 57 v10.

The Victory, some say, refers to The Fall of Makkah.

Islam, Hijrah & Hajj wipe out sins (Muslim).

The Messenger ﷺ did not treat anyone amongst his companions equal to us who had embraced islam after us (Ibn Asaakir).

We enjoyed the same positions with Abu Bakr (ra) (Ibn Hishaam).

The 3 Companions are described as The Very Essence of Makkah, The Bridle of Makkah & The Liver of Makkah!

All 3 Companions arrive in Al Medina in Safar, 8 years After Hijra.

Amr (ra) cast aside his blood stained garments of unbelief to don the pure garments of belief and left Abyssiania for Al Medina.

After the Treaty of Hudaybiah, Khalid (ra) is in a dilema as there's nowhere to live.

The Messenger ﷺ enquires about Khalid (ra) and Khalid (ra) becomes inclined to Islam.

Abu bakr interprets Khalid's (ra) dream, where he leaves a constricted land of draught (unbelief) and finds a vast fertile land (Islam).

The Crossing of 2 Distinct Seerah's...

Khalid & Uthman ibn Talha (raa) agree to leave Makkah to head for Al Medina, on the way at a place called Al-Hadda they meet Amr (ra). 

All 3 intend The Messenger ﷺ in Al Medina.

'Once we reached Medina, the Adhan for Asr was called, we entered The Masjid and His Face ﷺ was beaming like the full moon and the companions were very much pleased with our acceptance of the faith.' (Bahaqi).
