Amr (ra) turns his eyes to FusThaaTh Misir. Amr (ra) did intend Alexandria and told his men to uproot his fusThaaTh (tent or pavallion) but he saw that a pigeon had laid eggs in the apex of the tent and decided to leave the fusThaaTh.

The land of Egypt is not distrubted as per the advice of Umar (ra).

Amr (ra) shows the Copts a spectacle, he orders his men to eat & drink as they normally would, like nomads. The second day, the same men dress and eat just like the Egyptians 

Amr (ra) reminds the Copts that his men defeated them whilst in the first state.

Manf was the name of the City of the Egyptian Pharaoh, originally the Copts called it Manaafah, Surah 28 v15.

Umar (ra) wishes he had room flled with the likes of Abu Obaydah, Mu'aadh, Saalim Mawlaa, Hzayfah (raa) so he could employ them in the service of Islam.
