Day 6, The Day of Raging Conflagration

The Armenians disintegrate due to a 3 pronged attack, Khalid (ra) does not pursue those who flee.

The fleeing Romans labour up a road on the western bank of a ravine.

At the top, the Romans see a lean young warrior naked above the waist, Dhirar (ra).

Yet the Romans refuse to surrender. It was dark when the Romans finally ceased to move.

The next day Khalid (ra) pursues Vahan, Jabla escapes and eventually embraces the faith.

An elderly man explains the defeat to Heraclius, 'They stand in Salah at night and Fast all day, they fulfill their promises, they enjoin the good and forbid the evil and are just towards each other.

Whereas we consume wine, fornicate, we do the prohibited, we break our promises, we rob, we oppress, we enjoin the forbidden and we spread anarchy upon the earth' (Ibn Asaakir).

Heraculis departs Syria, Farewell to you O Syria, Farewell from the one who departs!

Never again shall the Romans return to you except in fear, Oh what a fine land I leave to the enemy (Tabree Tareekh).

Whoever attacks Ayesha (raa) has opposed the Quran.

Qadhee Abu Bakr ibn Th-Thay was sent by the muslims to the Christian King in Constatinople.

He said, 2 women were falsely accused of adultery... Mariam & Ayesha (raa)

Mariam (raa) appeared carrying a child whilst having no husband

Ayesha did not have a child but had a husband.

Hence the case of the latter is clearer than the former.

Alee (ra) says, 'The one who speak indecent words then spreads them are alike in sin' (Baihaqi).

'The FootSteps of Shaitan' (Surah 24 v21) refer to his deeds; the evil whispers; every sin... (Ibn Kathir).

He who does not show mercy then no mercy is shown to him, He who does not forgiven then will not be forgiven (Ahmad).

The Seasoned & Brave Amr ibn Ma'a'Dikrib (ra), participated in Yarmook and against the Persians.

Amr ibn Ma'a'Dikrib & Tulayha (raa) equal 2,000 men (Tabarani).

Day 4, The Day of the Lost Eyes and Decapitated Heads & Severed Hands.

During a pause in Shrahbeel's (ra) sector, Khalid (ra) suddenly appeared to be deeply worried.

Khalid (ra) gives his men orders to look for a red cap which he had dropped whilst engaged in battle, the cap was found.

Khalid (ra) relates, 'Whenever I engage in battle with the sacred hair with me, I'm always granted victory' (Tabarani).

Abu Bakr (ra) relates, Khalid said, 'O Messenger ﷺ Give the hair to none but me.... When The Messenger ﷺ gave him the hair Khalid (ra) pressed them against his eyes and kissed them' (Al Isaabah).

Umm Salamah (raa), JulJul and using the sacred hair for cure.

The priceless hair of The Messenger ﷺ was used to obtain Divine blessings...

• Cure from the evil eye

• Cure from innumerous ailments

• Victory against the enemies of Allah SWT

• Protection from physical harm or torture

Day 4, The Day of The Lost Eyes, Decapitated Heads and Severed hands.

The battle became vicious, the Armenians broke falling back to their original position, losing many lives. The Christian Arabs proved the heaviest losses.

Meanwhile an equally critical and more fierce battle was being fought on the left side of the muslim front... The army reserve was heavily committed on the right and could do nothing to help Abu Obayda & Yazid (raa) - they were on their own!

'Arrows like hailstones which blocked the light of the sun'

Around 700 muslims lost an eye, hence the title, The Day of The Lost Eyes

Ikrimah (ra) from the War Tribe Banu Makhzum takes The Pledge of Death along with 400 leading Muslims & riders, to the dismay of Khalid (ra).

Again, Hind and other women Khawlah, Umm Hakim (raa) encourage the men.

Day 3, The Assault upon the Muslim Right Forces

Gregory's Wing of Chains made no moves this day as it had suffered the previous day.

The Roman centre of the Armenians and the wing of the Russians and Slaaav struck with extreme severity at the Muslim Cenrral Right - Shurahbeel & Amr (raa).

Khalid (ra) launches his cavalry reserve against the Wing of QanaTheer.

Roman losses far outnumbered those of the Muslims, thus their plan failed.

Day 4, The Day of The Lost Eyes, Decapitated Heads & Severed hands.

This day proves decisive.

Khaid's (ra) counter offensive could finally be launched.

Now begins a Three pronged counter attack against the Armenians and Christian Arabs, Khalid strikes from the right, Qays from the left & Shurahbeel (raa) from the front.

Day 2 - The Assaulting of The Wings

Attack begins at the break of dawn.

The Romans plan now was the 2 Central European armies (Dairjan) would be put into holding attacks to tie down the Muslim Centres Abu Obaydah & Shurahbel (raa) whilst the 2 wings would launch their major thrusts and either drive their Muslim counterparts off the battlefield or push them into the centre.

Hind (raa) along with other women urge the men who have been pushed back to camp to re-engage in battle.

Day 1, The Day of Probing

After the dawn prayer every man rushed to his assigned post.

Both forces faced each other a little less than a mile apart.

A Roman General suddenly emergered seeking Khalid (ra), Jarja embraces the faith and was martyed the same day (Al Bidaayah).

Duels begin and honours are for the fallen Abdur Rehman ibn Abu Bakr (ra).
