Zach Cregger Details New 'Resident Evil' Character, Bryan

Filmmaker and actor Zach Cregger (Barbarian) has shared new details regarding his involvement in the Resident Evil franchise, specifically shedding light on a brand-new character named Bryan. Cregger explained that unlike the highly trained, weapon-wielding S.T.A.R.S. agents fans are used to playing as, Bryan is designed to be a completely ordinary, everyday person who suddenly finds himself trapped in a terrifying bioweapon outbreak. Cregger noted that introducing a vulnerable, underprepared protagonist allows the story to return to the franchise's pure, tension-filled survival-horror roots rather than relying on heavy action.
