When I submitted my Farnsworth quote, it was about a month and a half before it was on the Scathing Atheist and it came with a special gift, Noah emailing me back to agree to be on the show. We overcame some webcam issues to get them on and it was one of the fastest hours of my life. We talked about their three shows, fantasy football, theramin solos, the microphone behind the show’s start, Heath’s sink, and much more.

I decided to celebrate episode 50 by having a full-on equipment issue. Because of that, the audio was recorded via Skype, not Google Hangouts, and it is what it is. I did edit out a couple of flub-ups so enjoy.

Eiynah is my first ex-Muslim interviewee. She is from Pakistan, lived for years in Saudi Arabia in a compound for foreign workers, got her way to Canada and decided to get vocal. She writes for the Nice Mangos blog, listen to the show to get the reason why she picked that name, and is the co-host of the excellent and totally uncontroversial Polite Conversations.

Line of the show would have to be “Your prophet is a rapist”, aka what not to say when meeting a Muslim person for the first time.

While I planned on having the other Canadian Dave from the Ehtheist podcast, fate had other ideas and it was time for me to get to know Dave E (oh, right, they’re both Dave E), I mean the guy who usually wears what Americans call wife beater white t-shirts exclusively. Except Dave showed up to impress, wearing a classy button-down just for me and drinking some German beer out of a can.

Dave, oddly enough, has always been a Gay Canadian black guy, although not as big as his reputation suggests. He’s a music guy (see below) who works for the man by day. Listen to his tale, including losing a lover to suicide, leaving the Lite Catholicism he grew up in and using the NRR chat room, den of iniquity that, to get hooked up with what is the Ehtheist podcast and getting his own segment with appropriate “It’s Raining Men” bumper music.
