  • Live From Electric Avenue '26

We’re live on the ground at Electric Avenue 2026, and the energy is absolutely next level. MJ’s been roaming the crowd and even pulled a legend in to help with his goss corner, and trust us, the tea is HOT. The numbers alone tell the story. 45,000 tickets sold per day, plus around 2,000 workers, artists, and crew on site, marking a 13% increase on the 2025 event, which sold 39,000 tickets. When tickets dropped last year, they sold out in just 20 minutes, proving once again why demand for this festival is unmatched.

With 53 acts across 5 stages over two massive days, Electric Avenue proudly retains its title as “the biggest party in Australasia” for the second year running. If you weren’t here, we’ve got you covered, and if you are, you already know this one’s going down in history. All thanks to Electric Avenue for sending us to cover this amazing festival

  • Aotearoa’s Big Week Of Music

We’re officially back in your ears! After recovering from the pure magic of Laneway and that ethereal Lorde set, the team is hitting the ground running to debrief on a massive week for Aotearoa music.

First up, the boys are back. Six60 just dropped their fifth studio album, Right Here Right Now, and it’s a total shift in gears. Recorded entirely live in just three days, we’re breaking down whether this "one-take" raw energy hits the mark or if we miss the studio polish.

Then, we’re heading south to Christchurch to talk about Frankie Venter taking over the stage at Electric Avenue. Plus, we investigate the cryptic vibes coming from Lucy Gray—she’s been teasing a "light indie-rock" shift and a new EP influenced by the likes of Caroline Polachek. Is the "confessional pop" era evolving?

Finally, it’s the most chaotic time of the year: O-Week. From VUWSA’s stacked lineup featuring Peking Duk and Example to the street parties in Auckland and the Toga madness in Otago, we’re surveying the university landscape to tell you which campus took the W for 2026.

    In this episode:

    • Six60’s "roots-reggae" return: A track-by-track vibe check.

    • Frankie Venter at Electric Ave: Does she have the best stage presence in the game right now?

    • Lucy Gray’s new era: What to expect from the upcoming sophomore EP.

    • O-Week 2026: A cross-country artist lineup roundup (Vic, Otago, UoA & more).

  • We’ve Lost the Plot (Pure Chaos)

We’ve well and truly lost the plot, and it’s only the second show of the year. With Producer Frankie taking the day off, the show immediately goes off the rails in the best possible way.

Zain’s been causing some mid-week city-centre chaos, MJ spills the tea on how he’s settling into his new city (and the shenanigans that have already followed), and with Laneway happening this week, we’re gearing up to see Chappell Roan and break down the full lineup.

No producer. No structure. Just chaos, festival hype, and questionable decisions.

  • We’re Back for '26: Big Moves, Bad Decisions & More Sidequests

We’re officially back for 2026, and things are already off the rails. MJ has packed up and made the move to Christchurch, joining Zain and Producer Frankie, so naturally, chaos follows. Zain has once again made a big financial decision… and yes, some might say it was a bad one. The real question is: does MJ rip into him, or let it slide? Expect plenty of laughs, questionable choices, and all the usual banter as the crew kicks off the new year together + heaps more nonsense along the way.

    New year. More shenanigans.

  • Who Got Shot?? + Big Kiwi Artist News

This week’s episode is wild — and yes, apparently one of us has been “shot”… and you’ll never guess how. (Don’t worry, everyone’s fine — but the story is peak chaos.)

Zain is desperately trying to talk some sense into MJ, who’s dangerously close to dropping a ridiculous amount of cash just to fly to Laneway Festival this February. Will logic win? Probably not.

Plus, we’re joined by Guntaas Oberoi – the Indo-Kiwi indie-pop artist blending raw emotion with rich cultural fusion. She jumps on the show to chat about her stunning new single “Embers,” the heartbreak behind it, and the journey of letting go.

And of course… a whole lot of shenanigans.
