Dr Roma Chilengi MD, is the Head of Clinical Trials in Kenya will discuss development of malaria vaccines. Dr Chilengi is a graduate of UNZA and has completed post graduate medical product development with a focus on malaria vaccine. He has worked as a medical doctor in Zambia and has also worked for TDRC. He also served as a WHO monitor, in Tanzania he worked for the African Malaria Network Trust (AMANET). Currently he is employed by the University of Oxford on the Wellcome Trust Research Program based in Kenya at KEMRI as Head of Clinical Trials. His job to over see and spearhead some of the clinical research programs dealing with medical products before they become available to doctors in routine medical practice. Most prominent of which is the malaria vaccine in development.

Dr Mudenda Bridgwood decided to trade academia for business an altruistic move in a competitive business environment. This was all in an effort to help refugees and migrants. I am used to helping others as well as learning from others- it's who I am" Dr Bridgwood says. She is managing director of an Australia based company, Zambezi CCB, Interim President of the African Women's Network and President of the East Central and Southern African Association. Dr Bridgwood joins us from Brisbane, Australia for an exciting discussion on her life journey.
