  • 469: Dreams Week: Awake in Your Dreams - Understanding Lucid Dreaming

Lucid Dreaming is not as mystical as many believe.  In fact, many sleep researchers understand the physiological components of the practice.  It has bee referenced by scholars and authors since the times of ancient Greece

Buddhists and Hindus have their form of practice as well.  If all these people have been practicing this form of dreaming, if scientists are researching it currently and if many have experienced it since the time of Aristotle then there must be something to it.  Today I will share with you the basics of lucid dreaming so that tomorrow we can dive in to learning it.

  • 468: Dreams Week: How to Remember Your Dreams

Yesterday I spoke of the value of dreams, the very reason we dream, according to sleep researchers.  With that information deeply ingrained in your head the next logical step is to learn how to remember your dreams.

The skill will not only allow you to capitalize on your sleep state but also prepare you for the rest of the week when I talk about lucid dreaming, the process of becoming aware that you are dreaming in the dream itself.

  • 467: Dream Week: What is the Purpose of Dreaming

Dreaming is one ting we all have in common.  Despite the fact many people deny dreaming due to an inability to remember them, it has been proven we all do.  The even better news is that our dreams can assist us in our waking time as well, as I will discuss today with the help of two very fascinating articles.

Tomorrow I will discuss the methods for being able to recall your dreams so that you will be able to utilize the knowledge gleaned in those images.  Lastly for the rest of the week I will be helping listeners learn the process of Lucid Dreaming, the ability to be awake within your dreams.

    • 466: Misperception Week: I Am Not Safe

Today I finish up with the top three misconceptions that make your life less than satisfactory.  Today I combat the thought that you are not safe.  You are, and the data shows that you have never been safer.

Armed with FBI statistics for crime from the last 30 years, I will demonstrate that you are quite safe.  On top of that I will read a very informative article that talks about how the news is produced to create fear.

Lastly, I will help you begin to feel safer.

    • 464: Misperception Week: I am Not Good Enough

Of course there are many beliefs that will not serve you.  However, in the midst of the myriad thoughts that you have that are limiting are three that really ruin a life of happiness and calm.  I am going to spend the rest of the week discussing each of them at length.  Today I will start with the most powerful, in a negative way.  I will talk about your belief that you are not good enough.

At the end of the show I will talk about how you start to chip away at that defeatist misconception.  Tomorrow I will discuss the hugest lie out there behind self worth; that you do not have enough.  Finally on Friday I will talk about one misbelief that the news media will tell you all the time; you aren't safe.

The cool thing about the series is that ends in time for you to head out into the weekend, ready to enjoy a few days off with a new attitude and belief structure.

You will definitely want to tune in for this series.

    • 463: The Perils and Promise of Pity

At first thought it would appear that pity is an energy that serves us, creates connection and humanity.  However, on some level it also acts in ways that drive us farther apart from understanding the purpose of our souls.  We will never truly know why some people seem to have additional challenges or if they even are challenges in the first place.

Some people are born with physical limitations, born into families facing extreme hardship.  And while our compassion may have us pitying them, our higher self knows a more serving way to love those who we feel are in need of additional support.

Listen to how pity drives us apart and connects us at the same time.  Today I will talk about how one energy can help us understand our higher self and human self with tremendous power.
