Do only losers go online looking for a spouse to import to another country, 99% chance this is a yes. Are the people wanting to leave their country wanting to simply meet you and love you for who you are, 99% chance this is a no. Do some losers just want a shot at love and some people in other countries just wanting a family without worrying about poverty, war, etc., yes this can be the case as well. But your odds at happiness meeting a normal person online is probably less than 10%, with the K1 Visa I'd put it under 1% (not actual stats but these are probably all accurate). Seriously, this type of relationship is usually created with ill intent from one party if not both; it's also plagued with a lack of trust, a lack of complete honesty, and selfish desires. All online relationships are riddled with many complexities and mysteries such as: Has he/she done this before? How many others are they talking to? Do they like me for me or just vanity or maybe money reasons? How do I know they are done looking for someone else (hypergamy)? Will they continue to seek attention from the opposite sex? All this aside, it doesn't mean it cannot work. It just means it is so much harder and you will have to really want it i.e. both put in 100%.
