The Sentinels have been a classic X-men villain since their first appearance in X-men #14. They have been in several X-men movies and video games. Their look and function have changed over the years, but their primary reason for existing has always revolved around capturing and/or killing mutants.

The Sentinel diorama made by Iron Studios and distributed by SideShow is an impressive collection. Just one of these massive statues alone is quite a presence, but if you've ever seen them all together it is breathtaking.

Product Summary

Created by scientist Bolivar Trask, the Sentinels are giant robots built to capture and/or exterminate mutants. Among the biggest threats ever faced by X-Men in the Marvel universe, they have the ability to adapt to the powers of their targets. Iron Studios X-Men Vs Sentinel #3 Deluxe BDS Art Scale 1:10 Statue presents part of the team fighting against a Sentinel that will form an epic diorama with two more sets and many individual charcters in an extremely detailed and amazing scene!

Spider-man and Venom have been frenemies ever since Peter Parker unknowingly brought the symbiote back to Earth. They have battled each other as well as teamed up against some dangerous common foes. This statue represents one of those times where they were at odds with each other. This statue is an actual SideShow piece, not a third party manufacturer. The detail on the statue is what you would expect from SideShow... amazing! Watch the video to see me unbox, assemble, and review this amazing Maquette.

Product Summary

“Is that you, Venom? Threatening me again?”

Sideshow presents the Spider-Man vs Venom Maquette, two classic rivals facing off in your universe of Marvel collectibles.

It’s a super-powered showdown in New York City! The Spider-Man vs Venom Maquette measures 22” tall as the wall-crawler and his fated foe battle it out on the wreckage of a toppled church bell tower. Tendrils of the sinister alien symbiote sneak around the base, snaring Peter Parker’s arm as he takes aim at Eddie Brock’s altered self.

The polyresin Spider-Man vs Venom Maquette is a fully sculpted, highly dynamic collectible that brings two iconic Marvel characters together in your collection. Venom’s monstrous, muscular physique ripples with dark Klyntar symbiote as he prepares to strike with claws, fangs, and his terrifying tongue. His signature look is complete with sculpted white spider-symbols, swirled eyes, and the white web-shooter markings on his hands. As quick to THWIP as he is to quip, Spider-Man displays his extreme acrobatic ability in this battle, leaping out of harm’s way to get a better angle against his rampaging foe. His vibrant red and blue costume features sculpted black web textures running throughout the arms, legs, and torso, complete with a raised black spider-symbol on his chest and large white eye lenses on his mask.

Bring the battle to your Marvel collection and order the Spider-Man vs Venom Maquette today!

At the time of this video it has an MSRP or $75. It sells out every time SideShow is able to get it back in stock. The level of detail is about what you would expect for a statue in this price range. I kinda like that the patterns on the statue are actually etched into it rather than just painted on. This statue will look great on the shelf of any Alice in Wonderland fan.

Manufacturer Description

Sideshow and Enesco are proud to present the Alice in Wonderland Stacked Figurine!

Alice and her friends build a tower of astonishment in this colorful piece by Jim Shore. Twiddle Dee and Dumb form the tower's base while Alice, The Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat, and Dormouse balance above. This crew makes Wonderland even more wonderful!

I received the latest installment of Sigma Comics title, Calico #3. If you want to get caught up on the whole series you can watch my review of Issue #1  and Issue #2  Humans have superheroes. Animals don’t. That is they didn't until now!

The title character, Calico, has some high powered backers in his pursuit to seek vengeance against those that have wronged animals. The first two issues gave us a high level view of the world of Calico. Issue three takes us in closer for some more detail. They start to paint the Calico picture with more color and different brushes.

We are introduced to one of the big Kingpins on New York, who just happens to have Down Syndrome. We meet up with a gang of thieves who are all little people. There is also an ally of Calico that has had both legs amputated, but can still shred on a skateboard. That's a lot of diversity, but it does NOT feel forced. They feel like they belong in the story rather than a gimmick. I love how they fit seamlessly in the story. I found them so interesting, I'd love to see them get their own series after Calico finishes up with issue #8.

As careful as Calico is, he has the attention of a clandestine group. Issue #3 ends with that group making contact with Calico. We will have to wait for a future episode to see if this group's intents align with Calico's or if they will become an obstacle in his path for Animal Vengeance.

Back in the 90's, Nightcrawler was one of the more popular X-men. Then Marvel decided to kill him off. They left him dead long enough that his popularity waned to the point that he is still trying to regain the level of prominence he used to have in the X-men universe. Regardless of what you think about Nightcrawler as a character, it is undeniable this statue is a nice piece to add to any X-men collection

Manufacturer Description

Iron Studios presents the mysterious Nightcrawler!

“Bamf” … One of the best-known onomatopoeias in the Marvel universe, used to describe the sound generated by the displacement of air and sulfur, resulting when he teleports. Thus, in the midst of a purple cloud, he appears wherever he wishes with his scary elven appearance, but behind that, he presents one of the most devout and altruistic characters in the mutant X-Men universe. Bringing a small decorative base in the form of a “Bamf” that accompanies him, on the base with the wreckage of a Sentinel Robot another “Bamf” cloud erupts over it, from where he jumps out of the shadows, indicating his teleportation for action in aid from his mutant brothers. Thus, Iron Studios is proud to present it’s first version of one of the most beloved X-Men, requested by many fans, the Nightcrawler X-Men Statue – BDS Art Scale 1:10.

Born in a small village called Witzeldorf in the German state of Bavaria, Kürt Wagner is the son of the mutant Mystique, from whom he inherited the blue skin and the mutant Azazel. With pointy ears, a tail, and just three fingers on his hands and feet, his mother abandoned him in a river to avoid being lynched by the villagers in her village. He was found in the Alps by a family of gypsies who raised him. So he grew up as a circus artist, but as an adult, when they discovered that his appearance was not a disguise and his powers were not tricks, he was chased by Germans who used torches and sickles just because he was different, thinking he was a demonic creature. When he was about to be killed by the angry mob, Kürt is saved by Prof. Xavier, and so he joined the X-Men in their second formation.

As a mutant, Nightcrawler has superhuman agility, the ability to teleport, he can become invisible in deep shadows, almost merging with them, his hands and feet can adhere to walls and other surfaces just like Spider-Man, and his physical mutation gave him yellow eyes, which he can see in the dark and a prehensile tail. He is one of the few characters in comics that has his religion in evidence, Nightcrawler is a Roman Catholic. Created by writer Len Wein and artist Dave Cockrum.
