Rev. Joshua Rhone preaches from Luke 9.28-36 on March 13, 2022, at Zion Church, a United Methodist congregation, in York, Pennsylvania. In this morning's message we continue our journey through Lent by looking at what it means Peter's desire to stay atop the mountain. Peter, like most of us, desires to make the most of a spiritual high, a mountaintop experience. He wants it to last as long as possible. Who, of us, can blame him? Yet, we are not called to live on the mountaintops. Rather, the mountaintop experiences provide the fuel, fire, and passion to advance and move forward in the ordinary times of life. Today, we discuss that means for you and I.
