Rev. Joshua Rhone preaches at Zion Church, from Luke 10.38-42, on July 17, 2022, at Zion Church, a United Methodist congregation, in York, Pennsylvania. In this morning’s Scripture, we look at Jesus' visit to the home of Martha. Mary sits and listens to Jesus, while her sister Martha is busy. In seeing things transpire Jesus says, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and distracted by many things, but few things are need –– indeed, only one (Luke 10.41-42, NRSVU)." For many of us life is busy, chaotic even. Faith often seems like just one more thing to add to an already busy schedule. What if things could be simpler? What if it really does come down to one thing? And, what if identifying and understanding one thing could change everything for the better? Join us for this week's sermon podcast.
