Rev. Joshua Rhone preaches from John 20.1-18 at the Easter worship gatherings, on April 17, 2022, at Zion Church, a United Methodist congregation, in York, Pennsylvania. In this morning’s Scripture Mary is distraught. Her hopes have been dashed. She exhausted, worn out. Mary’s weeping uncontrollably, and understandably so. First the angels, then Jesus, ask why she is weeping. Something changes when Mary meets the arisen Jesus. Things, for us, can change when we come to know the Risen Savior.
