Jack and Alex, left with no way of seeing First Cow, instead do a retrospective on all the movies they've seen in the form of an awards ceremony. And this isn't any regular awards ceremony. Each host presents their top choice in the categories of Prettiest, Horniest, Most Fun to Watch While Drinking and (or) Smoking, Most Empathetic, and Most Forgettable. As well as announcing their current choices for top three performances by both actors and actresses, and their top 3 A24 movies overall! Returning to cover the elusive (to non-Apple users) documentary from A24 and appletv+, Jack and Alex sit down this week to talk about the very last movie remaining on their A24 journey, at least...until First Cow is released tomorrow. Alex and Jack are here this week discussing Peter Strickland's "evil dress" movie, IN FABRIC, and they watched the special unrated edition, with presumably nothing added but a little bit of mannequin pussy (not the band either sadly). Alex and Jack get together this week to discuss one of their favorite (and evidently A24's) favorite directors, Trey Edward Schults, and his newest movie WAVES. This was a hugely anticipated episode for both hosts and a movie like this has a whole lot to talk about, especially considering so much of the music was stuff that both hosts grew up listening to. There's also a brief mention of an A24 Weird Al project that we hope will be willed into existence by this podcast. (please a24)

Jack and Alex get together this week to talk about the BALLSY move about abuse of power within the U.S. military that's apparently a narrative version of a documentary from the same director, Dan Krauss. (A fact that we did not know until after recording!) This brings some talking about Nat Wolff and also, Starship Troopers!

Alex and Jack got this modern day pirate movie to talk about this week, with the dubloon fueled coming-of-age film LOW TIDE directed by Kevin McMullin. Jack's voice is in a pure growly state for listeners that enjoy that type of thing, and it allows for a real glimpse inside what it means to look at something like this critically at all!

Alex and Jack get together to talk about the A24/HBO release coing-of-age drama, SHARE from director Pippa Bianco. Not having watched Euphoria, there's a different take to be gotten here from some boys that might be making some baseless judgements about the contents of that. Get ready for some talks about the horrors of being a teenager in the digital age.

Alex and Jack get together this week to discuss a film about a reformed skinhead and the path that leads him to give up his hatred, and BOY is this movie wild. Larger philosophical discussion is had around hatred and just why we should care about this particular skinhead, but you'll have to listen to learn more! Check it out!

Jack and Alex get together to talk about the 2008 Safdie brothers film Daddy Longlegs, also known as "Go Get Some Rosemary." The discussion mainly revolves around the way that it slots into the Safdie's filmography and there are spoilers within. Also shouts out to us for finally giving Ronald Bronstein some credit!
