Jack and Alex got together this week to talk about Adam Rifkin's film that capped off Burt Reynolds' storied career.  As two people that aren't entirely aware of the man, we got to give this a real viewing and really look at what makes the movie special and what doesn't. It also serves as some jumping off points to endlessly bring up Bojack Horseman :^)

Alex and Jack record a special episode of the really abstract premise for a podcast they came up with on the last bonus episode of the show. We really just went off the handle with this one. We took a Seinfeld script and removed all of Kramer's lines and then tried to use our inner-Kramers to intuit what the main himself was thinking and doing in those moments.

This week on the A24 Chore, the boys discuss the Bill Pullman feature, THE BALLAD OF LEFTY BROWN, and Jack reiterates his feelings about westerns 5,000(?) times! After a few weeks of really going for it with 2019 releases, Jack and Alex finally finished off the last movie of 2017 and are ready to face whatever comes next, especially after talking about this yeehaw shit. 

Alex and Jack take a trip this week to an isolated community somewhere in Sweden to take various hallucinogenic substances and also!, to bring you a conversation about the brand new film from A24's horror darling, Ari Aster. That being, MIDSOMMAR! This was Jack's most anticipated of the year, so there's tons of excitement here in this spoiler-free discussion.  With our butts clenched, we proceed into the great beyond of vibrant, eerie, podcasting :)

In a turn of events that can only be described as incredibly reckless and inappropriate, the boys found themselves watching the newly rentable sci-fi-erotic-thriller from Claire Denis, HIGH LIFE! In a bit of a summer detour here, we're taking this way out of order just due to fascination in the movie and a shared admiration for GOOD TIME star Robert Pattinson. This episode is as free of spoilers as possible but still full of some excited conversation about the film. Check it out!                                         

Jack and Alex return for another week of podcasting to talk about one of the bigger names in A24's catalog, that being the movie detailing the making of The Room, Tommy Wiseau's masterpiece of incompetent filmmaking. That movie being of course, THE DISASTER ARTIST! We getting into the weeds regarding the insane number of cameos in this thing and Jack even talks about how uncomfortable this incredibly watchable movie makes him when looked at through the lens of the outsider artist it's based on. It's an incredibly rambly episode that could have went on even longer than the already ridiculous length of this podcast because we just love the movie that much.
