This week mum has seen gangster caper, Pixie, which stars Alec Baldwin, Chief O'Brien from Deep Space 9, and lots of lovely Irish scenery. She also reviews the remake of Rebecca, in which Armie Hammer takes on the role made famous by Laurence Olivier. Silly boy.

This week mum reviews Liam Neeson as another-man-with-a-gun in Honest Thief. In preparation for Halloween, she's also seen 2014 Australian horror, The Babadook.

This week mum has seen Sofia Coppola direct "The Ghostbuster from the 80s" (Bill Murray) in On the Rocks. She also reviews gentle romcom for the over 60s, 23 Walks, starring Alison Steadman and some bloke who definitely isn't real.

This week mum has seen counterculture courtroom drama, The Trial of the Chicago 7 (Wuhoo! I'm an anarchist!"), and 80s anime classic, Akira ("The amount of blood they show is... AMAZING").

This week mum has seen The New Mutants, an X-Men film with no X-Men in it. She also reviews Schemers, a coming of age story set in the music industry of the 1960s. Or 70s. Or perhaps 80s. Mum has no idea.

This week mum has seen Javier Bardem in dementia weepie The Roads Not Taken, but instead of reviewing the movie she tells us about the time her Spanish boss had an operation on his todger. She's also seen YA romcom After We Collided, which her mate Julie describes as "Fifty Shades for teenagers". Mum thinks it might be the worst film she has ever seen.

This week mum has been to see a subtitled Chinese war movie, because the feller in the poster had a bandage on his face and she thought there might be a lot of shooting and bleeding. She was right. Win! We also talk about Disney whacking Mulan (2020) on Disney+, and mum debates whether she'll have to boycott the Mouse House.

This week, mum has seen Les Misérables, set in the modern day banlieues of Paris. She also reviews Netflix movies I See You and The Decline, and reveals what she wants Rob to do with her body if she kicks the bucket from the plague.

Mum reviews Hope Gap, starring "the feller with the hand" (Bill Nighy). She's also seen a couple of films on Netflix: Cargo, starring "not Morgan Freeman" (Martin Freeman), and Z for Zachariah (Rob thought she was talking about Dear Zachary, so strap in for a review of completely the wrong film).

This week mum has returned to the cinema to see Russell Crowe in road rage thriller, Unhinged, and Tye Sheridan and Helen Hunt in murder mystery, The Night Clerk. She's also seen Jamie Foxx in Netflix superhero caper, Project Power, and has some more speedy reviews: this week, Gringo, Tau, Marriage Story, 6 Underground, Freaks (2018), and Spectral.
