00: Introducing STaR Coaches with Meg Rentschler

Welcome to the introductory episode of STaR Coaches, a podcast that Host Meg Rentschler, LCSW, PCC recently founded. In this first episode, she discusses the reasons she set up this podcast as a resource for the professional coaching community.
Meg is an Executive and Mentor Coach and licensed Clinical Social Worker.  She has worked with others to effect positive changes in their lives for over 30 years.  Her work with individuals and organizations to improve their relationship dynamics and create healthier workplaces is one of her true passions.   As an instructor in a university-based coaching certification program, Meg is also passionate about helping others build coaching knowledge, expertise and their businesses.  That passion is what led to the creation of this podcast.
Meg earned her Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University and her Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan.  She received a Graduate Certificate in Executive and Professional Coaching from the University of Texas at Dallas and is a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation.   Meg holds certifications in many different assessment and development tools.
She is dedicated to assisting management teams in maximizing the potential of individuals within their organizations.  She has intervened to re-establish stability and function following traumatic events in the workplace. She has worked with executives and their teams to maximize their resources and guide them to through customized teambuilding and coaching programs designed to meet business objectives. As a business owner in private practice for more 25 years, Meg has the benefit of understanding people and their challenges, as well as the keys to building a successful business.
Meg’s experience stretches across industries. She has  worked with clients in healthcare, transportation, technology, financial,  and service industries including American Airlines, Hawker Beechcraft, Grant Thornton, CACI, First National Bank, Aetna Healthcare and Bell Helicopter to name a few. She is currently on faculty at the University of Texas at Dallas in the Graduate Program for Executive and Professional Coaching.  Meg is also a contributing author to the best-selling book, Answering the Call, in which she focuses on the importance of successful communication in business.
The coaching industry is a valued resource for individuals and companies to create the positive changes in their lives.  The Harvard Business Review and other publications note the increasing popularity of coaching as a solution to companies and businesses. Coaching is not just about sports anymore, it is a value add to individuals, businesses and corporations.  With the increased focus on coaching as a profession, more people are choosing to learn about coaching, develop their skills and deepen their knowledge, this podcast is intended to be a resource to this coaching community.  In this introduction podcast, Meg discusses the following:
