The 2003 Murder Of  Actress Lana Clarkson Committed By Legendary Music Producer Phil Spector

[Formerly title "The Tale of the Barbarian Queen"].  Lana Clarkson met legendary music producer Phil Spector while she was working as a hostess at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, California in the early morning hours of February 3, 2003.  The stunning blonde immediately caught the eye of Spector who insisted she come to his castle for a drink when she was off work that evening, an offer she hesitantly accepted.  Two hours after arriving at his home, Lana was dead, slumped in a chair in the foyer of Spector’s home, of a single gunshot wound in her mouth.  He claims she committed suicide.  But all the evidence at the scene pointed to something more sinister.  We’ll delve into the life and career of both Lana and Spector.  We will discuss a darker, lesser known side of Spector and his long, violent history with women and guns…and how that history culminated in the death of a woman he’d just met a few hours earlier.

UPDATE:  Phil Spector’s death was confirmed by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. “California Health Care Facility inmate Phillip Spector was pronounced deceased of natural causes at 6:35 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at an outside hospital,” officials said in a statement. “His official cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner in the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office.” ~Rolling Stone Magazine
