Cody Dickerson is a an expert ironsmith, occultist, and author of “The Language of the Corpse: The Power of the Cadaver in Germanic and Icelandic Sorcery.” This was an enlightening conversation with Cody about his book, which explores how ancient Germanic peoples approached and worked with death, both physically and magically. Cody shares about how we need to approach death as a transmutable and malleable force, and how to avoid ‘death denial’ as a part of modern society. Cody is also a student of the Germanic mysteries, Indo-European religious and linguistic studies, British cunning-folk magic, and is an initiated or Powwow practitioner. He is a holder of Dual faith observance, which is a syncretism consisting of Christian and indigenous European forms of magic, and he is an expert ironsmith and founder of Borealis Ironworks, where his art of blacksmithing and esotericism meld together.
