Kami Deboer is a pilot's wife, a teacher by trade and a mom of three boys she and her husband adopted internationally. On today's show she shares her story, some struggles and how the Lord has helped her overcome.

Testimony (2:39)

Kami shares how she's always known the Lord. After going through a miscarriage, losing 3 to embryo adoption and losing a domestic adoption she didn't want to live anymore and had plans to end her life. Eventually the Lord helped pull her out of the darkness.

Kami talks about how finding someone else who understood what she was going through helped her through the struggle. She encourages other women to know that God isn't done with your story. Kami also talks about how friends who saw a need and came to her with a meal or to pray really aided her in crawling out of the pit and the loneliness.

Kami talks about how adopting her three boys is like seeing the gospel lived out loud in her living room every single day. She also gives tips on how to get support as you explore adoption.

God has a plan for all of our lives; even for our children. Kami says the conversations she's having with women these days revolve around supporting one another through parenting.

Kami shares how being a military family is hard yet it's taught her to do things herself and not be afraid to reach out to others for help. She says she's had learn to rely on the Lord a lot and he helps her survive.
