~ You can never be too prepared ~

この前、私が住んでいるマンションで、メンテナンスのための停電が

3時間ぐらいありました。

トイレも水道も使えない、エレベーターも使えないという地震のときのような状況を久しぶりに体験しました。

保存用の水が家に何本かあるのですが、その場所もわからず、緊急用の準備があまりできていないことに気がつきました。

これを機に、防災セットを見直さないといけないなと思いました。

このまえ、わたしが すんでいる まんしょんで、めんてなんすのための ていでんが さんじかんぐらい ありました。

といれも すいどうも つかえない、えれべーたーも つかえない という じしんの ときの ような じょうきょうを ひさしぶりに たいけんしました。

ほぞんようの みずが いえに なんぼんか あるのですが、その ばしょも わからず、きんきゅうようの じゅんびが あまり できていないことに きがつきました。

これをきに、ぼうさいせっとを みなおさないと いけないな とおもいました。

The other day, in my apartment I live in, there was a power outage for maintenance for about three hours.

For the first time in a long time, I experienced a situation like when there is an earthquake, where I can’t use restroom, water, and elevators.

I have several bottles of water at home for storage, but I did not know where they were and realized that I was not very well prepared for emergencies.

This made me think that I need to review my emergency kit.

~ My (bitter) memory of Hinamatsuri ~

昨日はひな祭りの日でした。

小さい頃、ひな人形を飾って、みんなでひな祭りの料理を食べる家庭に憧れていました。

でも残念ながら、私の母は立派なひな人形を持っていたにもかかわらず、

ひな人形の顔が嫌いだという理由で、飾ってくれませんでした😂

悔しかった私は、自分でひな人形を引っ張り出してきて、並べる順番もよくわからず飾っていましたが、今となってはいい思い出です。

きのうは ひなまつりのひ でした。

ちいさいころ、ひなにんぎょうを かざって、みんなで ひなまつりの りょうりを たべる かていに あこがれていました。

でも ざんねんながら、わたしの ははは りっぱな ひなにんぎょうを もっていたにも かかわらず、ひなにんぎょうの かおが きらいだ という りゆうで、かざってくれませんでした。

くやしかったわたしは、じぶんで ひなにんぎょうを ひっぱりだしてきて、ならべる じゅんばんも よく わからず かざっていましたが、いまとなっては いい おもいでです。

Yesterday was Hinamatsuri Day.

When I was little, I longed for a family that decorated hina dolls and ate hina matsuri food together.

But unfortunately, even though my mother had decent hina dolls,

she didn't display them because she didn't like the faces of the dolls.

I was so frustrated that I pulled out the hina dolls by myself and decorated them without knowing the order in which to arrange them.

Now it's a good memory.

カスハラという言葉を聞いたことがありますか？

この動画では、タクシー運転手の研修で、先生が酔っ払い役をしているのですが、あまりにもリアルなカスハラで笑ってしまいました。

日本には、お客様は神様という言葉が昔からありますが、店員さんにも礼儀正しくありたいなと思います。

かすはら という ことばを きいたことが ありますか？

この どうがでは、たくしー うんてんしゅの けんしゅうで、せんせいが よっぱらいやくを しているのですが、あまりにも りあるな かすはらで わらってしまいました。

にほんには、おきゃくさまは かみさま という ことばが むかしから ありますが、てんいんさんにも れいぎただしくありたいな とおもいます。

In this video, the teacher is playing the role of a drunk in a training session for cab drivers, and I laughed because it was so realistic harassment from customers.

In Japan, there is an old saying that The customer is God, but I would like to be polite to shop staffs as well.

皆さんは、コミコンに行ったことがありますか？

ニューヨークで行われた日本のアニメのイベントに、約20万人が参加したそうです。

アメリカで2番目に大きなアニメのイベントだそうです。

たくさんかわいいコスプレをしている方がいますが、個人的には、子供の頃の憧れだった、セーラームーンのコスプレをしている人がたくさんいて、羨ましくて仕方がないです😂

みなさんは、こみこんに いったことが ありますか？

にゅーよーくで おこなわれた にほんの あにめの いべんとに、やく にじゅうまんにんが さんかしたそうです。

あめりかで にばんめに おおきな あにめの いべんとだそうです。

たくさん かわいい こすぷれをしている かたが いますが、こじんてきには、こどものころの あこがれだった せーらーむーんの こすぷれを しているひとが たくさん いて、うらやましくて しかたがないです。

There are many cute cosplayers, but personally,

so many people are cosplaying as Sailor Moon, which I longed to be when I was a child, and I couldn't help but be jealous.

~ One convenience store changes people’s life ~

和歌山県の過疎地にできた1軒のコンビニが、大活躍しているそうです。

私の地元もとても田舎なので良くわかるのですが、過疎地ではお年寄りが多く、車に乗れない人も多いのに、スーパーが遠いというのが大きな問題です。

このローソンは、間違いなくこの地域の救世主になると思います。

わかやまけんの かそちに できた いっけんの こんびにが、だいかつやく しているそうです。

わたしの じもとも とても いなかなので よく わかるのですが、かそちでは おとしよりが

おおく、くるまに のれない ひとも おおいのに すーぱーが とおい というのが おおきな もんだいです。

この ろーそんは、まちがいなく この ちいきの きゅうせいしゅに なると おもいます。

I heard that one convenience store in a depopulated area in Wakayama Prefecture is doing a great job.

My hometown is also very rural, so I know what their life is like.

In depopulated areas, there are many elderly people and many of them can’t drive a car, yet supermarkets are far away.

I think this Lawson will definitely be a savior for this area.

※ This convenience store is a little bit different from normal ones since it’s in depopulated area.

・It’s more like a supermarket than a convenience store, but open 24/7.

・They have more of frozen meat, fish, etc, than raw ones so they wouldn’t waste their stocks.

・Their package labels are big so the elderly can read easily.

・They have a space where local farmers can sell their vegetables.

・They have a space where customers can eat and communicate with other customers.

~ What is “Red book” ? ~

赤本という言葉を聞いたことがありますか？

各大学の過去の入学試験が3〜10年分くらい載っている、真っ赤な本です。

1〜3月は、日本は受験シーズンです。

図書館では、赤本を持った受験生たちが一生懸命勉強しています。

辛かった受験生時代を思い出して少し切なくなりますが、

勉強している姿を見るといつも、がんばれ受験生という気持ちになります。

あかほん という ことばを きいたことがありますか？

かく だいがくの かこの にゅうがく しけんが さんねん から じゅうねんぶん くらい のっている、まっかな ほんです。

いちがつ から さんがつは、にほんは じゅけん しーずんです。

としょかんでは、あかほんを もった じゅけんせいたちが いっしょうけんめい べんきょうしています。

つらかった じゅけんせい じだいを おもいだして すこし せつなくなりますが、べんきょうしている すがたを みると いつも、がんばれ じゅけんせい という きもちになります。

It is a bright red book that contains about 3 to 10 years worth of past entrance examinations for each university.

January through March is the examination season in Japan.

In libraries, students with red books are studying hard.

It makes me a little sad to think back to my painful days as an entrance exam student, however, when I see them studying, I always feel like “Good luck!”.

~ Indoor shoes at school ~

日本の子供達は昔から、学校に着いたら上履きという部屋の中用の靴に履き替えます。

でも、最近上履きをやめる学校が増えているそうです。

学校への出入りがスムーズになる、地震などのとき避難しやすいなどのメリットがあるそうです。一方で、土足で部屋に入るのが嫌だという子供もいるそうです。

皆さんはどう思いますか？

にほんの こどもたちは むかしから、がっこうに ついたら うわばき という へやの なかようの くつに はきかえます。

でも、さいきん うわばきを やめる がっこうが ふえているそうです。

がっこうへの でいりが すむーずになる、じしんなどの とき ひなんしやすい などの めりっとが あるそうです。いっぽうで どそくで へやに はいるのが いやだ という こどもも いるそうです。

みなさんは どうおもいますか？

Japanese children have traditionally changed into indoor shoes called uwa gutsu when they arrive at school.

Recently, however, more schools have stopped using indoor shoes.

The good point is that it’ll be easier to go in and go out of school, and easier to evacuate when something like an earthquake happens.

On the other hand, there are some children who do not like the idea of entering a room with outdoor shoes.

~ Are you wearing contacts? ~

皆さんはコンタクトやメガネを使っていますか？裸眼ですか？

私は目が悪いのですが、コンタクトやメガネなしでも生活できるくらいの悪さです。

でも最近、もう一段階目が悪くなったような気がしていて、スクリーンタイムを減らさないといけないなと思います。

みなさんは こんたくとや めがねを つかっていますか？らがんですか？

わたしは めが わるいのですが、こんたくとや めがね なしでも せいかつできる くらいの わるさです。

でも さいきん、もう いちだんかい めが わるくなったような きがしていて、すくりーんたいむを へらさないといけないなと おもいます。

~ What are some foods you can’t live without? ~

皆さんは、外国に旅行に行くとき必ず持っていく物はありますか？

これはたくさんの日本人に当てはまると思うのですが、私は必ずご飯とおみそ汁を持っていきます。1日3食のうち、1食か2食はご飯を食べないと落ち着かないからです。

皆さんにとって、こういう食べ物はありますか？

みなさんは、がいこくに りょこうに いくとき かならず もっていくものは ありますか？

これは たくさんの にほんじんに あてはまると おもうのですが、わたしは かならず ごはんと おみそしるを もっていきます。いちにち さんしょくのうち、いっしょくか にしょくは ごはんを たべないと おちつかないからです。

みなさんにとって、こういう たべものは ありますか？

~ Pollen season! ~

もはや国民病と言われている、花粉症のシーズンがやってきました。日本人の半分以上が花粉症もしくは鼻炎を持っているそうです。

そんな日本にも、花粉がない地域があり、花粉のシーズンはそこに住むという人も増えています。日本の何県か、知っていますか？

もはや こくみんびょう といわれている、かふんしょうの しーずんが やってきました。

にほんじんの はんぶん いじょうが かふんしょう もしくは びえんを もっているそうです。

そんな にほんにも、かふんが ない ちいきがあり、かふんの しーずんは そこに すむという ひとも ふえています。にほんの なにけんか、しっていますか？
