What does it really mean to know who we are in Christ? And how much of our lives are actually shaped by that identity rather than the circumstances around us?

As Paul opens his letter to the Ephesians, he reminds believers of everything God has already done for them through Jesus. In a culture filled with competing beliefs, and uncertainty, Paul points them back to the foundation of their faith. They've been chosen, adopted, redeemed, and given an inheritance in Christ.

This week on 100% Maybe, we explore Ephesians 1, the significance of these promises, and Paul's prayer that believers would have the eyes of their hearts opened to understand the hope and power found in Jesus. What would change in our lives if we truly understood what we've already been given?

We’re kicking off our new series, Bear With One Another, with a conversation about hope, faithfulness, and what it means to finish well.

In John 14, Jesus offers comfort to His disciples as He prepares them for what lies ahead. While we often focus on the place He promises to prepare for us, perhaps the greater promise is simply that we will be where He is. That hope changes the way we understand both eternity and the lives we're living today.

We also explore what it means to leave a lasting legacy, not measured by accomplishments or recognition, but by the love and Kingdom impact we leave behind. From the way we care for our families to the way we walk alongside others, finishing well begins with how we choose to live today.

Throughout this series, anchored in Ephesians 4:2, we'll highlight the heart of our Cares Ministry and what it looks like to truly bear with one another. It's more than simply tolerating each other. It's choosing to show up, carry burdens, extend grace, and live out our faith together.

In Matthew 9:35–38, Jesus looks out at the crowds with compassion and reminds His disciples that the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. It's a powerful reminder that the work of the Kingdom isn't reserved for a select few. We're all invited to be part of something much bigger than ourselves.

This week on 100% Maybe, we're looking ahead to a special Sunday at Community Life Church as we come together to celebrate what God is doing and share the vision for the season ahead. From launching a new Saturday night service in January to creating more opportunities to serve and connect with our community, we're talking about what it means to move beyond simply attending church and become active participants in its mission.

At the heart of it all is a simple question: Are we willing to see the people around us the way Jesus does?

Join us as we explore what Jesus meant by the harvest, why His words still matter today, and how each of us has a role to play in the greater story God is writing.

If you are in the Gulf Breeze/Gulf Coast area, you know this week has looked a lot different than usual!  We are all still dealing with the effects of Hurricane Isaias (even if Pastor Scott still can't pronounce it). This week's episode we talk about some of the damage that the church sustained, and what things are going to look like in the short term, and how you can plug in and help, or ask for help.  

We pivoted out of our 1 John study to take a look at Psalm 46. In the midst of uncertainty and chaos, the writer of that Psalm is still reminded that through it all, God will receive the glory. We are sometimes painfully reminded that we aren't the ones in control, and the security we think we have ultimately rests in God's hands.

What does it really mean to walk in the light and have fellowship with God?

In this episode of 100% Maybe, we begin our journey through 1 John with chapters 1 - 3:10. John invites us into something deeper than simply knowing about Jesus... a shared life with Him that begins to shape the way we live, love, and relate to one another.

We talk about what John means by “fellowship,” why walking in the light doesn’t mean living a perfect life, and how Jesus remains our advocate when we fall short. We also explore John’s challenge to make sure our lives match what we say we believe, his warning about loving the things of this world, and what he really means when he talks about “antichrists.”

Throughout these chapters, John keeps bringing us back to two things: love and light. Following Jesus isn’t simply about what we claim to believe, but it’s about learning to abide in Him and allowing His life to transform ours.

We close out our journey through Hebrews with chapters 11–13 and a reminder that faith isn’t about having all the answers or seeing exactly how the story will unfold.

Hebrews 11 introduces us to people who trusted God without seeing the full picture. Some experienced incredible victories, while others endured suffering and never saw the promises fulfilled in their lifetime. Their stories aren’t ultimately about how extraordinary they were, because they point us to the faithfulness of God and the fulfillment of His promises in Jesus.

We’re reminded to run the race of endurance God has set before us. Along the way, God’s love may include discipline, correction, and the shaping of our hearts. And life on this side of heaven won’t always unfold the way we expect.

So how do we keep going when we can’t see what God is doing?

We keep our eyes on Jesus.

Join us as we finish Hebrews and reflect on what it means to live by faith, trust the faithfulness of God, and remember the message that has carried us through this entire series:

In Hebrews 8–10, the writer shows us how Jesus fulfills what the old covenant, the tabernacle, and the sacrificial system had been pointing toward all along. God had promised through Jeremiah that a new covenant was coming; one in which His law would be written on our hearts and our sins would be remembered no more.

Jesus makes that promise a reality. As our great High Priest, He offers Himself as the perfect sacrifice, once for all time, opening the way for us to draw near to God with confidence.

In this episode, Jeff and Kat explore the old and new covenants, the meaning behind the tabernacle and sacrifices, the freedom of a cleansed conscience, and what it looks like to live in the grace and access Jesus has already made possible.

Who is Melchizedek, and why does this mysterious figure from Genesis matter so much to the book of Hebrews?

This week on 100% Maybe, we work through Hebrews 5–7 and unpack what it means for Jesus to be our Great High Priest “according to the order of Melchizedek.” We trace Melchizedek from his brief appearance with Abraham in Genesis 14 to Psalm 110, look at why Abraham gave him a tenth, and dig into how we should hold this interesting mystery. 

But the point of these chapters isn't simply solving the mystery of Melchizedek. Hebrews is showing us why Jesus is greater.

Unlike the priests who came through the line of Aaron, Jesus' priesthood isn't based on ancestry, it is based on “the power of an indestructible life.” He is a permanent High Priest who always lives to intercede for us. Because of Him, we have a better hope and can confidently draw near to God.

Along the way, we talk about the Old Testament priesthood, Psalm 110, spiritual maturity, the warnings of Hebrews 5–6, and why all of this theology matters for ordinary people trying to follow Jesus today.

Jesus is greater, and because our High Priest lives, our hope is secure.

Jesus is Greater — Hebrews 3–4

What does it actually mean to enter God’s rest?

In Hebrews 3–4, the writer looks back at Israel’s journey through the wilderness as both a warning and an invitation. Their struggle wasn’t simply disobedience, it was a failure to trust God. And generations later, Scripture still extends the same invitation: “Today, if you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.”

In this episode, we talk about Jesus being greater than Moses,  what the Bible means by God’s “rest,” and why the promise of that rest reaches all the way back to creation. 

And after all the warnings of these chapters, Hebrews leaves us with an incredible invitation: because Jesus is our great High Priest, we can come boldly to the throne of grace.

Jesus is Greater. And because of Him, the way into God’s rest is still open today.

Hebrews opens with a weighty declaration about who Jesus is.  The Son of God, the fulfillment of God's promises, and the One through whom all things will ultimately be restored. 

For Jewish believers tempted to return to an old and familiar system of worship, the message was clear: don't drift away from the One to whom it was all pointing.

In this episode, we explore Hebrews 1–2 and the references the writer uses to reveal the supremacy of Jesus. We talk about why understanding who Jesus is matters for the way we live out our faith, and the freedom that comes from knowing the work of salvation has already been accomplished on our behalf. 

Jesus isn't simply another part of the story, He is the fulfillment of the promise and the One restoring humanity and creation under His authority.
