  • Ep. 39 - The Questions of Jesus: Why Did You Doubt?

    Send us Fan Mail

As we wrap up our series on the questions of Jesus, we take a step back and consider what questions reveal about our hearts, and our faith. This week, we explore Jesus' question to Peter in Matthew 14:22–33: "Why did you doubt?"

In one of the most familiar stories in the Gospels, the disciples find themselves caught in a storm...but it's interesting to note that Jesus is the one who sent them there. Yet He is also the one who comes to them in the midst of their fear, inviting Peter to step out of the boat and into something he never thought possible.

What do we do when faith, fear, and doubt collide? Is doubt the opposite of faith, or is there something deeper happening beneath the surface? Together, we discuss how Jesus meets us in our uncertainty, and reminds us that His presence is greater than the storms we face.

Whether you're walking through a season of confidence or wrestling with questions of your own, this conversation is a reminder that Jesus remains at the center of it all.

  • Ep. 38 - The Questions of Jesus: Where Are Your Accusers?

In John 8:1-11, we encounter one of the most powerful pictures of the heart of God in all of Scripture. A woman caught in adultery is dragged into the public square, not because the religious leaders are seeking justice, but because they are trying to trap Jesus. In the process, they reduce a person made in God's image to a prop in their argument.

Yet Jesus responds in a way that reveals both truth and grace. He doesn't ignore sin, excuse wrongdoing, or pretend there are no consequences. Instead, He confronts the hypocrisy of those eager to condemn while overlooking their own need for mercy. With a few simple words, Jesus exposes the hearts of everyone in the crowd and reminds us that none of us stand before God on the basis of our own righteousness.

In this episode, we explore what this story teaches us about judgment, shame, repentance, and the incredible grace of Jesus. Most importantly, we see Jesus as the One who does not come to condemn, but to bring salvation, healing, and transformation.

Whether you've struggled with shame, wrestled with judgment, or simply want to better understand the heart of God, this conversation offers a powerful reminder that grace never ignores truth, but it always leads with love.

  • Ep. 37 - The Questions of Jesus: Why Do You Call Me Lord, Lord...

    Send us Fan Mail

In this episode of 100% Maybe, we dive into Luke 6:43–7:10 and wrestle with one of Jesus’ most challenging questions: “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I say?”

Jesus uses the images of a tree and its fruit, and a house built on a solid foundation, to reveal a sobering truth... what is visible on the outside is not always what is true on the inside. Through this conversation, we explore the importance of slowing down and honestly reflecting on what is really shaping our hearts, our priorities, and our trust.

We also look at the surprising faith of the Roman centurion in Luke 7, and how Jesus points to an outsider as an example of genuine faith.  In fact, He's amazed by it.  It’s a powerful reminder that the Kingdom of God is open to all, and that trusting in Jesus can completely transform our lives from the inside out.

Whether you’re wrestling with faith, obedience, anxiety, identity, or what it truly means to follow Jesus, this conversation invites us all to examine the foundation we’re building on.

  • Ep. 36 - The Questions of Jesus: Can All Your Worries Add A Single Moment To Your Life?

    Send us Fan Mail

What do your worries reveal about what you trust most?

This week on 100% Maybe, we explore one of Jesus’ most challenging and freeing teachings in Matthew 6:19–34. As Jesus asks, “Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?” He walks us through a deeper reflection on the human heart  - what we treasure, how we see the world, and ultimately who or what we trust.

In this conversation, we discuss the tension between wanting control over our own lives while also being invited to trust a faithful Father. Jesus’ words are not an invitation to ignore reality or stop being responsible, but a call to freedom from anxious striving and the burden of trying to be our own lord.

This passage confronts us, but it also offers healing:
when we take Jesus at His word, we may discover the freedom we were created for.

  • Ep. 35 - The Questions of Jesus: How Many Loaves Do You Have?

    Send us Fan Mail

This week on 100% Maybe, we explore Matthew 15: 29–39 and the feeding of the 4,000. This miracle raises a fascinating question: why are the disciples still struggling to believe when they’ve already seen Jesus do something like this before?

As we unpack the story, we talk about spiritual forgetfulness, the importance of remembering God’s faithfulness, and how Jesus’ compassion extends beyond the borders of Israel to the outsiders and Gentiles as well. This passage reminds us that the Kingdom of God is bigger, wider, and more welcoming than people expected, and that reminders of God’s provision in our everyday lives can reorient us to the greater story He’s telling.

  • Ep. 34 - The Questions of Jesus: What Can I Do For You?

    Send us Fan Mail

What do our questions reveal about our heart?  In the first episode of our new series, The Questions of Jesus, we explore Matthew 20:17–28 and the surprising question Jesus asks in response to a request for position and recognition.

Throughout the Gospels, Jesus often used questions, not just to give answers, but to reveal hearts and invite people deeper into truth.  In this conversation, we look at why questions matter, what they uncover in us, and how Jesus used them to shape His disciples.

We also look at Jesus’ radical teaching on servanthood and leadership.  In a world driven by status and self-promotion, Jesus presents a completely different vision of His Kingdom, marked by humility, sacrifice, and service.

Whether you’re wrestling with faith, leadership, ambition, or simply trying to follow Jesus more faithfully, this conversation invites you to slow down and consider what Jesus may be asking you today.

  • Ep. 33 - Thessalonians: The Lord is Faithful

    Send us Fan Mail

As we close out 2 Thessalonians and our series, we step into chapter 3 and reflect on everything this letter has been shaping in us. Paul reminds us that following Jesus isn’t about checking out of life, but stepping fully into it,  playing our part in the community of faith and recognizing that our work is about more than just making a living. It’s about contributing to what God is doing in the world.

We come back to the foundation of faith, hope, and love; anchors that form our everyday lives and keep us steady when things feel uncertain. And in the midst of big questions about the future, we’re reminded that the end isn’t meant to bring confusion, but confidence. The Lord is faithful, and He will bring all things to completion in His timing.

So the question isn’t just what we believe, it's how we live in light of it.

  • Ep. 32: Thessalonians: Stand Firm

    Send us Fan Mail

This week on 100% Maybe, we walk through 2 Thessalonians 1 & 2 and have a real, honest conversation about what it means to stand firm in your faith. Paul writes to a church under pressure, reminding them that their growing faith and love are a witness to others, even in times of trouble.

We also step into the tension of Paul’s words about judgment and the end times. Not from a place of fear or speculation, but with clarity: every person will have to decide what they believe about Jesus.

The good news is this: when we trust in Jesus, His righteousness becomes ours, and our sin is dealt with at the cross. But when we reject Him, we’re left to carry that weight on our own.

This isn’t a conversation meant to stir fear, but to point to hope. A hope that gives us strength to endure, confidence to stand firm, and an invitation to respond to the life Jesus offers.  What we believe about Jesus matters the most.

In this episode of 100% Maybe, we dive into Paul’s teaching on the end times in 1 Thessalonians 4 & 5, and why it was never meant to create fear, confusion, or endless speculation.

Instead, Paul anchors everything in hope.

As we talk through what it means to expect the return of Jesus, we’re reminded that this isn’t about decoding timelines or predicting events. It’s about living with a hopeful expectation, and a steady confidence that Jesus is coming back.

We also explore how Paul calls believers to live holy and set apart lives, not withdrawn from the world, but as a visible example of Christ in it. In a world full of questions and uncertainty, we wrestle with the tension of studying Scripture deeply while also trusting God with what we don’t fully understand.

Because ultimately, the timing isn’t ours to figure out...it’s His.

Join us as we learn to hold tightly to what matters most—and loosely to what doesn’t.

  • Ep. 30 - Thessalonians: Faith, Hope, & Love

    Send us Fan Mail

What do we do with the life and faith we’ve been given in Jesus?  On this episode of 100% Maybe, we are asking those very same questions.

As we step out of Easter, we’re turning to 1 Thessalonians - a letter written to a young church that was already thriving.  Not because they had everything figured out, but because they were living it out.

In this episode, we explore what made the church in Thessalonica so impactful.  Their faith wasn’t complicated, it was active.  They worked hard to love others, stayed anchored in hope, and continued to follow Jesus even in the middle of pressure and uncertainty.

We talk about how easy it is to overcomplicate faith today, and how this letter invites us back to something simple and powerful...faith that moves, love that serves, and a hope that endures.

No matter how uncertain the times feel, our faith doesn’t have to be.
