  • Ep. 29 - Encountering Jesus: I Have Seen the Lord

    Send us Fan Mail

What if faith isn’t about having everything figured out, but trusting Jesus as you go?

In this episode of 100% Maybe, we walk through John 20:1–18 and the powerful, personal encounter between Mary Magdalene and the risen Jesus. As the story unfolds, Mary doesn’t immediately understand what’s happening, as she sees pieces before she sees the full picture.

We talk about the tension between sight and belief, how Jesus meets us in our confusion, and why faith often requires stepping forward before everything makes sense. This passage reminds us that transformation doesn’t really come all at once.

As we head into Holy Week, we also reflect on how this moment connects to the bigger story of Jesus—and how we’re invited into it today.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re still trying to make sense of what God is doing, this conversation is for you.

  • Ep. 28 - Encountering Jesus: The Triumphal Entry

    Send us Fan Mail

What if you can see Jesus clearly… and still miss Him?

This week on 100% Maybe, we’re diving into the Triumphal Entry in Gospel of Luke 19:28–48—a moment full of celebration, expectation, and tension. The crowd welcomes Jesus as King… but they don’t fully understand who He is or what He came to do.

We explore the gap between the King people wanted and the King Jesus actually is—and how that same tension shows up in our lives today.

What do we do when Jesus doesn’t meet our expectations?
Is it possible to be close to Him and still miss Him?
What does real surrender actually look like?

👉 Because an encounter with Jesus doesn’t just change your circumstances… it changes you.

  • Ep. 27: Encountering Jesus: To Seek & Save The Lost

    Send us Fan Mail

The story of Zacchaeus is surprisingly short on details in Luke 19.

We don’t know why he was searching.
We don’t know why Jesus chose him.
We don’t even know what was said in their conversation.

But we do know what happened next.

    A life was changed.
    A heart was transformed.
And Jesus reminds us why He came...to seek and to save the lost.

In this episode, we wrestle with what Scripture doesn’t tell us, and why that might actually be the point.  Because faith isn’t built on having every answer, it’s built on trusting the One who does.

  • Ep. 26 - Encountering Jesus: Two Desperate Encounters

    Send us Fan Mail

Associate Pastor, Clint Jernigan joins Jeff on the podcast this week:

In this episode of 100% Maybe, we explore two powerful encounters with Jesus in Mark 5:21-43, a synagogue ruler and a woman who had been cast aside by the religious system of the time.  Associate Pastor, Clint Jernigan joins Jeff on the podcast this week.

On the surface, these two people couldn’t be more different. Jairus was a respected leader in the community, while the woman had spent twelve years living in isolation and desperation. One stood at the top of society, the other on the margins. Yet both came to the same place: helpless and in need of Jesus.

In this conversation, we wrestle with what these stories reveal about faith, desperation, and the way Jesus sees people fully and completely, regardless of their status. Whether you feel overlooked, worn down, or like you should have it all together, these encounters remind us that hope is found not in who we are, but in who Jesus is.

  • Ep. 25 - Encountering Jesus: The Criminal & The King

    Send us Fan Mail

In Luke 23:26–46, we encounter one of the most powerful moments in the Gospel: a dying criminal recognizing the true King hanging beside him.

This conversation at the cross is one of the clearest pictures of grace in all of Scripture. The criminal had nothing to offer—no good works, no time to make things right, no way to change his past. All he brought was the recognition that Jesus was exactly who He claimed to be: the King whose kingdom extends even beyond death.

In this episode, we talk about why this encounter matters so much for our understanding of grace. It reminds us that salvation isn’t something we earn or achieve. We often try to make faith about what we bring to the table, but this story strips that idea away completely.

The criminal brought nothing but his need—and found everything in Jesus.

It’s a reminder that grace has never been about us.
It has always been about the King.

  • Ep. 24 - Encountering Jesus: Waiting on the Water

    Send us Fan Mail

This week, we encounter Jesus at the Pool of Bethesda.

Surrounded by a multitude of broken and waiting people, Jesus walks up to one man who had been paralyzed for 38 years — and everything changes.

But the healing isn’t the end of the story, it’s the beginning of a conflict.

We talk about why Jesus chose this man, what the man may or may not have understood, and how the religious leaders’ devotion to rules caused them to miss the heart of God completely. The Sabbath was never meant to add pressure — it was meant to create space to enjoy God and experience His goodness.

  • Ep. 23 - Encountering Jesus: Among the Tomb

    Send us Fan Mail

Throughout the Gospels, people meet Jesus in wildly different places — cemeteries, crowded streets, dinner tables; and in moments of grief, curiosity, doubt, and desperation. The broken, the lost, the searching… none of them were looking for the same thing, but all of them found Him.

In this series of 100% Maybe, we sit with those stories and talk honestly about what actually happened in these encounters. Not just what Jesus did then, but what those moments reveal about who He is and how He still meets people today.

These conversations aren’t about having all the answers — they’re about paying attention. Because when we slow down and really look, we often discover we’ve misunderstood where God shows up… and what He might be doing right in front of us.

Join us as we explore the encounters, wrestle with the questions, and consider what we might find if we remain open and willing to meet Him too.

  • Ep. 22: Valleys - The Valley of Dry Bones

    Send us Fan Mail

This week we step into one of the most vivid and mysterious passages in Scripture — the Valley of Dry Bones  (Ezekiel 37:1–14).

Prophecy can be powerful… but it can also be easy to mishandle. In this conversation we talk about why passages like this require humility, patience, and careful interpretation. Some things in Scripture are clear — others we hold with open hands.

The vision ultimately points to the breathtaking power of God to bring life out of death — not just physically, but spiritually and communally.

It’s an honest conversation about faith, interpretation, and learning to rely on God’s wisdom over our certainty.

  • Ep. 21 - Valleys: The Valley of Giants

    Send us Fan Mail

Many of us heard about David and Goliath as a simple underdog story — small boy, big giant, surprising victory. But when you slow down and actually read 1 Samuel 17, it becomes something very different.

In this episode, we look beyond the simplified version of the story and see a deeper truth: God was never the underdog, and David’s confidence didn’t come from courage or personality — it came from remembering who God had already proven Himself to be. Instead of letting Goliath set the terms of the battle, David stepped into the valley trusting the Lord’s faithfulness and fighting from a place of belief, not fear.

We may not face literal giants, but we all walk through valleys — fears, pressure, uncertainty, and situations that feel bigger than us. The invitation of this story isn’t to try harder or be braver, but to trust that God is already at work and has purpose even in the battles we didn’t choose.

Join us as we talk about perspective, faith formed in past moments, and how remembering God’s faithfulness changes how we face what’s in front of us today.

  • Ep. 20 - Valleys: The Valley of Crisis

    Send us Fan Mail

This week on 100% Maybe, we kick off our new Valleys series by stepping into the Valley of Crisis found in 2 Chronicles 20 and the story of King Jehoshaphat.

When fear feels overwhelming and the pressure is real, how do we respond? In this conversation, we talk honestly about what it looks like to name our fear instead of hiding it, to turn that fear over to the Lord, and to resist the temptation to fight battles that were never ours to fight.

We explore how aligning ourselves with Kingdom rhythms—prayer, trust, surrender, and worship—can shift us from striving to reliance, and how God invites us to rest even when everything in us wants to take control. This episode doesn’t shy away from how difficult trust can be, especially when waiting and resting feel uncomfortable or risky.

If you’ve ever found yourself in a valley wondering how to move forward, this conversation is an invitation to trust that God is faithful to fight for His people—even in the middle of crisis.
