Nate Rebolledo from Xibalba is on the podcast today! We tried to make this happen a few years ago, but now...it's all happening. Nate and I discuss his life as a firefighter (he is no longer), serving his community through hardcore and finally, his career in live production/touring. It was a compelling discussion that I of course, urge you to check out.

YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO THIS EPISODE. Sorry for yelling, but I love this chat and more importantly the record that Adam released under his moniker, Choir Boy. We discuss his upbringing in Ohio, the cyclical nature of music and performing live after creating something in isolation. Let me be clear, this is one of my favorite LP's of this year so you need to check it out.

I don't think I will ever get tired of a solid metal core record, and Year of The Knife have released exactly that with Internal Incarceration so in turn, I had to have Madison Watkins from the band on the podcast. Madison and I discuss life in Delaware, straight edge and running a small business (with her amazing Candy Corpse brand). It was an absolute pleasure having her on so sit back and enjoy.

I know it may seem like I said this a lot, but this episode is a huge one for me. Brian McTernan is the vocalist from Battery, guitarist from Ashes and more recently, Be Well and his art has definitely impacted me in a deep way. He's also an incredibly prolific producer as well helping bands like Texas Is The Reason, Bane, Thrice and many more create some of their most important records. We go LONG with so many things like depression, touring Europe and being the "it" producer and the pressure that comes with it. This conversation went so incredibly well and I am proud to share it with you. Listen and enjoy!

Gleemer is a band you HAVE to hear. I fell in love with them when they released "Anymore" and even more so with "Down Through." I had to have Corey Coffman from the band on the podcast to pick his brain and find out more about life in Colorado, recording bands and the process of making music. It's metaphysical, it's fun and above all...a great new band you need to check out. Thanks for listening!

It's a big one today with the vocalist from Good Riddance, Russ Rankin! Good Riddance has always loomed large within the punk and hardcore community, so it was a pleasure to have Russ on to discuss the idea of "being too punk to be hardcore," the music business and of course, animal rights. It's a wide ranging chat and we of course mention hockey as well. Thanks for listening!

My good friend Dan Sandshaw from Equal Vision Records is on the show today. He's been with the label for over 15 + years and has been instrumental in signing some of your favorite bands in independent music. We dig into life in upstate NY, big music moments and being the center of attention. Thanks for listening!

This is one of my most important episodes of the show. Please listen and support ALL of our local venues across the country that are at real risk from returning. I had my friend Stephen Chilton from Phoenix, Arizona who has been booking shows for many years and is part of the National Independent Venue Association. We discuss their campaign called #SaveOurStages and what he's learned through his years of promoting shows.

Another deep dive into our best of lists from the past, but this time it's 2005! We dive into each of our respective lists and find out if they hold up or not (short answer, some do...while we have some pretty glaring omissions). Sit back, relax and enjoy!

Today we have Casey Crescenzo from The Dear Hunter on the program. He's an incredibly prolific and compelling musician that has spent a majority of his life involved in independent music not only in this band but also with his previous band, The Receiving End of Sirens. We get deep into our mutual appreciation for nu-metal, ambition and his early touring life. A must listen!
