100 Words Or Less: The Podcast

We have Henry Cox, vocalist from Boston Manor, on the show this week. They release their newest LP in early May and what a weird time to not be able to tour! Henry and I discussed being raised in the UK, changing sounds within your band and larger than life musical acts. Enjoy!

Fellow podcasters unite! I have Toby Morrell from Emery and the Bad Christian Podcast hanging out this week. We go very deep on his late exposure to subculture, trying new things and his southern upbringing. He's a good friend and we had a very relaxed conversation during this time at home. Emery has just released a new record as well called "White Line Fever" that you need to listen to, NOW.

Hope you are all being safe and making your voice heard in whatever capacity you feel comfortable with. We have Will Putney from End/Fit For an Autopsy coming onto the podcast today to discuss his life in New Jersey, bioengineering and managing creativity. It's quite a ride that Will has been on, so I appreciate his willingness to discuss so openly.

Let's get heavy. Matt Honeycutt from Kublai Khan TX is on the show this week and we dive deep into preconceived notions of what the band is, Texas living and slow growth. I had no idea we'd be rolling our sleeves up and getting as real as we did in this discussion, but here it is. Enjoy!

Shredder alert! We have JB Brubaker from August Burns Red on the show this week discussing the process of meeting your heroes, defying expectations and longevity. I always appreciate when people are excited to come on the show and even more appreciative when they open themselves up as JB did. Sit back, relax and enjoy!

Today we have one of the best booking agents in the game, Nick Storch from Artist Group International, on the show this week. We recorded this episode before the pandemic ground the music industry to a halt, but Nick's story is compelling nonetheless. We discuss him finding his way to booking, personal taste and how that affects who he works with and the music industry at large. Sit back, relax and enjoy!

Drain seems to be everywhere and now we get to know Sam Ciaramitaro (the vocalist) a lot better. Sam and I had a fun conversation about growing up in San Pedro, hustle and why he never likes to wear pants. Let's do this!

Justine Jones is the vocalist from Employed To Serve and works at an incredible label called Holy Roar Records and of course is our guest this week. We get in depth with nu-metal, being married to a band mate and life in England. Quite a pleasant chat and one that I hope you enjoy.

Elder is one of my favorite bands around right now and I had the privilege to chat with Nick Disalvo from the band. If you are a fan of anything metal/progressive/doom/stoner you will fall in love with what the band has going on. We discuss Nick's life being raised in the suburbs, his experience being an exchange student and sticking to his DIY roots. Enjoy!
