#101: “Good News” in Women’s Reproductive Health, Dr. Hilgers is with us!!

One of the most difficult topics I addressed in my early years sharing John Paul II”s Theology of the Body was the Church’s teaching on IVF (in vitro fertilization, and other artificial reproductive technologies). I say difficult because my heart went out to the parent’s I met who  desperately wanted to start a family, but for whatever reason were finding it difficult to conceive.

Many of them were told that artificial reproductive technologies were the only option open for couples with reproductive and gynecological health problems and concerns. What they were not told is that most Physicians have stopped looking for the causes of the conditions, and treatment is aimed only at the treatment of the symptoms.

What an incredible gift it was to be able to share NaPro Technology with them! An option that is not only in line with Catholic teaching but one that goes beyond the treatment of symptoms.
