In Spring of 1961, Alcatraz inmates Frank Morris, Alan Clayton West, and brothers, John and Clarence Anglin, began planning what would be one of the most famous prison escapes of all time. After a full year of preparation and a lot of teamwork, these men got away with some pretty ridiculous feats. Three of the four men successfully got away, and to this day have never been found.
