Welcome to our 300th episode of 10K Dollar Day! We're marking this milestone by switching up our format! It's a celebration day. 

Alison and Lulu spend their 10K allowances in Toronto, Canada, and Milan, Italy this week. Amidst the shoes in this episode, we have two hotels with celebrity status, one designed by a rock star and one designed by a director.  You'll meet the one of the cutest donkeys you've ever seen, and Alison gives us her tried-and-true tricks to building up a sneaker collection on a budget. All of that, packed into some luxury spending (in our mind).

Alison brings us on a culinary adventure, getting some hands-on education about some of the most luxurious foods in Peschiara del Garda, Italy, while Lulu explores elective surgery in Klaipėda, Lithuania. How else would they spend an imaginary 10K in 24 hours?

As we count down to episode 300, we continue to revisit some of our favorite episodes. This episode, recorded in a very dungeon-y Philadelphia Airbnb (you can see the filming of this episode on our YouTube channel!), features Alison planning a momcation where kids are very, very, very much not allowed. This vintage episode from 2019 is a special one -- we recorded it in Stockholm on a real-life vacation (on a much-less-than-10K budget).  Even though we were squeezing the most out of every dollar on our trip, we were still able to write these silly adventures. Lulu spends her fake $10,000 in Panama City, Panama, while Alison decides to throw a celebration for the whole town of Mason City, Iowa. (Hint: it's the birthplace of Meredith Willson, writer of THE MUSIC MAN. And this is episode 76!)

In honor of all the Barbie-palooza, here's a February 2020 episode that definitely draws a lot of inspiration from our Barbie-playing childhoods. Lulu brings us to Malibu for some luxury fit for a living doll. Wearing pink isn't required for listening, but it can't hurt.
