On October 24, 2011, in the small town of Potsdam, upstate New York, the neighbors of 12 year old Garrett Phillips heard noises coming from next door. They knew that Garrett and his brother lived there and had heard noises before, but never this loud. The neighbors knocked on the door, and heard what sounded like the door being locked and latched. They called 911 around 5:08pm.Around 5:16pm, the police arrived and their discovery would rock a community to its core.
