Brigida Uto was married with a young son.  She was also a busy special education teacher in San Diego.  Her husband Race was just out of the Navy. Things were looking good for this young family when suddenly Brigida gets very, very sick.  Over months her health declines so much she is rushed to the hospital. 
Brigida is near death when hero doctor, Dr. LaPoint, comes to the rescue.  He needs to solve and cure  her mystery illness before she dies. What was making her so sick?
