Dialogue (Plain style)
In the office 〜 5 Colleagues (A,B,C,D,E) are asking Sameda san for various things/errands. [08:43]
A: Sameda kun, if you e-mail the material to the client, please make 10 copies of it.
B: Ah, hey, Sameda kun, if you copy them, please help us here.
C: Sameda san, if you’re done helping them, bring the catalogue to the Bucho (manager).
D: Ah, Sameda san, if you go to Bucho, please get a contract document (and bring them to me). E: And then, Sameda san, if you get the contract document, please copy it.
Sameda: Excuse me is it this contract document or the client’s material that I (have to) copy? (10 bu:10 copies)
(keiyaku shorui = contract document)
Note: deshitakke : ”kke” is an ending particle [casual] indicating that the speaker is trying to recall some information.
Repeat after me (in Masu style)
[09:25]
1. → If you e-mail the material to the client, please make 10 copies of it.
2. → If you copy them, please help us here.
3. → if you’re done helping them, bring the catalogue to the Bucho (manager).
4. → if you go to Bucho(‘s office), please get a contract document (and bring them to me).
5. → If you get the contract document, please copy it.
[10:53]
[Shadowing] First, listen to a sentence at normal speed. Then, I speak a bit slowly, so you start speaking as soon as you hear it like a shadow.
“Sameda san’s one day”
[11:07]
When I come to the office, I first turn on the computer. When I mail the material to the client, I have to make 10 copies of it. When I copy them, I help my colleagues and then bring a catalogue to Bucho(‘s office). When I go to Bucho, I will get a contract document. And then I have to copy it, too. If I finish all of them, I can go home, but oops, I wonder…, which one should I copy?
[12:34] Try again with no interruption.
