Tennis and fitness coach, Lane Evans, has dedicated his life to being a continuous lifelong learner. He believes that regardless of someone's age and ability, anyone who has the WILL can unlock their TALENT thanks to the SKILL of a great coach! Lane (and his wife, Lori) are die-hard Oklahoma fans and they attend every football game. Lane instils a love for tennis, health and well-being everywhere he goes and you can often see him wearing his trademark cowboy boots and hats at every coach education conference available.

Lane Evans Bio
Lane Evans is a lifelong teaching tennis professional. He is a USPTA Master Professional living in Norman, OK with his wife Lori. He has been in the tennis-teaching profession for almost 40 years, almost 35 as a USPTA member. He spent 22 of those years as a Club GM and a Fitness & Wellness Director as well.
In 2020, Lane completed his USPTA Master designation. He also completed his Master Trainer designation with the International Sports Sciences Association with certifications in 6 different protocols.
Tennis Positions held:
Lane served one term on the USPTA National Board of Directors. During his tenure, he chaired the USPTA National Pickleball Committee and the USPTA National Past President’s Committee. He also chaired the Wellness & Fitness Committee, where he and his committee wrote the curriculum for the USPTA Specialist Degree in Tennis Fitness. Lane was also responsible for brokering the new agreement with the IFP(International Federation of Pickleball).
With over 2,000 USPTA Education Credits, Lane has been recognized by the USPTA Southern Division and the Missouri Valley Division for education merit. He completed 2020 with 304.5 credits. Lane is at Level 4(the highest) of the USPTA education achievement levels.
He is a Master Tennis Performance Specialist with the iTPA(International Tennis Performance Association). He is also certified by RacquetFit. He assisted in writing the curriculum for the certification. He is also certified by TPI(Titleist Performance Institute) at Fitness Levels 1 & 2 and Super Speed Golf at all three levels. He works with several high performance golfers, two of which qualified for the US Open Senior Championships. He recently completed his certification by the Kovacs Institute as a Serve Specialist.
Lane is currently the President of Lane Evans Tennis & Golf Performance and is an Associate Teaching Professional at Westwood Tennis Center in Norman, OK where he works with all levels of players. His ladies 55-over, 8.0 team finished 2021 as the Nation’s fourth ranked team. (This is a good story)
He also volunteers time at First Serve of OKC, First Tee of OKC and Moore High School where he has served as Assistant Coach.
Lane was recognized by the USPTA Missouri Valley Division as their 2021 Professional of the Year and then was named Alex Gordon National Professional of the Year for 2021. Lane is one of a rare few that have been selected as Division Professional of the Year in two different divisions. (Southern and Missouri Valley).
