Sam, is a dermal clinician and beauty therapist driven by a passion for education. With a focus on empowering others to develop confidence and expertise in their field, her current role allows her to contribute to the delivery of vocational training at a consistently high standard through the development of educational tools and protocols to support the clinical team at Advanced Skin Technology.
Prior to joining AST, Sam delivered both undergraduate and postgraduate vocational education in the beauty therapy industry, before completing her dermal therapies degree at Victoria University. Her clinical skills were strengthened by working for a number of years as a dermal clinician with a leading Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon.
Today Sam and I talk about how she navigated her way into one of the industries most sought after roles and too travel down the pigmentation pathway understanding further education on pigmentation including, the melanogenesis pathway, questions for consultation, lifestyle triggers, active ingredients we should be looking towards when treating pigmentation, as well as treatments we can direct our clients to.
