This year has been my busiest yet when it comes to public speaking—both personally and professionally. In all these situations, I've found it incredibly helpful to use mental structures to guide me; they help me stay organized, remember key points, and avoid awkward pauses or clunky interactions. But structuring isn't unique to me—it's common in many fields. Musicians, chefs, lawyers, and even my wife all use structure to create. So today, I thought I'd share a few structures I use to build a foundation when I need to communicate effectively.
