While many have heard of the famous missionaries Adoniram and Ann Judson (in fact, we just had two episodes on them), few know the names of those who came to Burma after them to continue what is arguably one of the greatest Baptist mission works of all time. The missionaries who followed gave just as much of themselves to ensure the Gospel was heard by every Burman possible.
In this episode, Tracie and Abigail discuss the life of Ellen Mitchell, an unassuming woman who failed to follow societal expectations, but instead gave her latter years to one of the highest callings: missions on the foreign field! Her story may surprise listeners because, although some may have thought she had missed her opportunity to answer God's call, Ellen never forgot what God had asked of her. She waited on His timing and was ready to go when He said, "Now!"
