When I got a job at an A&W Restaurant back in the '80s (yeah synth-rock rules!) I came home one day and complained about my boss to my dad. My dad wasn't very sympathetic; he told me that if I don't like what I'm doing, I should quit my job and do something else. "What? Quit? I just wanted to complain...I wasn't trying to do anything crazy like actually find a job I like...that requires more work!"As I grew older this advice has grown on me. In my younger years, I really liked to complain...I was really good at it...but it did not serve me well. No one wants to follow a leader who complains. It's quite uninspiring.
