What is some bad advice you have received? One of my favorites was about a way to keep my runaway toddler in the house. Needless to say, the advice wasn't helpful and didn't work.

I recently heard some advice at a bridal shower and instantly knew that it was some really bad advice. It is a quick ticket to causing contention and force into your marriage and/or home. The thing that surprised me was that so many people thought it was great advice.
