He says, “We do not fully understand the magnitude of the gift that is being offered to us, but we can take heart because we begin to see it in Mary. [In Mary] we have the Lord showing us what he is willing to do for flesh and blood creatures. Even though we have been corrupted by sin, we nevertheless have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, and if we persevere to the end as a friend of Jesus, we will share in the glory that Mary is currently experiencing.”
