In 1991, Tye decided to trade his financial career as an equity options trader on Wall Street with Bear Stearns in Manhattan,  for a new life in Vail, a place he had grown to love during his many trips to the Rocky Mountains. He quickly becomes and has held his position as top agent in Vail and the country through the best and worst of times including 911 and the Great Recession, caused by the Subprime Mortgage Crisis, from 07 to 09.
