One of the key ingredients to raising a really smart kid is being a warm and responsive parent. Perhaps it seems to be a small or insignificant part of education, but the parent-child relationship is key to homeschooling successfully. This week, Carole interviews Natalia Barba on her experience being homeschooled from first grade through high school. Natalia shares how her parents decided to homeschool, some of the sacrifices they made along the way, and how they are some of her favorite people even though she is now a young adult in her final year of college. Carole also asks her about the place of media in their home and the role of books in her education.
