#184: The City of Man versus the City of God; a man made virus, a man made war, and a God made man solution

The invasion of Ukraine,  couples in love, a woman about to give birth.  The battles we are in are not left versus right, liberal versus conservative, or being optimistic or pessimistic. Human beings are religious beings. The battle is between the forces of Satan as manifested in the City of Man, and the City of God.

In Mere Christianity, in the chapter he titled "The Invasion," C.S. Lewis tried to clarify our situation: "One of the things that surprised me when I first read the New Testament seriously was that it talked so much about a Dark Power in the universe--a mighty evil spirit who was held to be the Power behind death, disease, and sin."

"Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God?" (James 4:4)

Jesus prayed to the Father, "I have given them your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world." (John 17:14)
