She has over 20 years with the City Attorney’s Office. As a trial deputy in the criminal branch, she handled domestic violence, assaults with a deadly weapon, battery, and driving under the influence cases. Rena graduated from UCLA School of Law and earned her bachelor’s degree at UC Berkeley with honors and high distinction in philosophy.

With respect to human trafficking, Anh is currently chair of the Labor Trafficking Subcommittee of the Los Angeles Regional Human Trafficking Task Force, and he previously served on the LA Metro Taskforce on Human Trafficking. He drafted legislation to expand civil abatement laws to address human trafficking (AB2212; Pen. Code, § 11225). He has also filed civil abatement actions against motels that have served as bases for human trafficking, narcotics, and other illegal activities. Prior to joining the City Attorney’s Office, Anh was with Alschuler Grossman Stein & Kahan LLP, focusing on securities, business, and entertainment litigation.
